Good image quality at a great value
It's hard to complain about a lens that only costs $80, especially if you got a $25 Amazon gift card for Xmas, bringing the price down to just $55! So. . . I'm in no position to complain. It's pretty sharp in the middle (the only place that really matters) and, surprisingly, the minimum focal distance it pretty amazing. 25mm (full frame) is equivalent to a 38mm on my Fuji X-T2, so it makes it a pretty good all around lens. It's a fun little manual lens that's super inexpensive and has a very good build quality. If I had to gripe about something, it would probably be the fact that the aperture ring is de-clicked. I would preferred a clicked aperture ring, but that would be nitpicking. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. Recommended.

An inexpensive starter lens..worth every penny!
For photographers on a tight budget or folks who want to experiment, the 7Artisans 25mm F1.8 lens is ideal. From first impression, this is a nicely constructed all metal lens. Reminds me of vintage Zeiss or Takumar lenses. The focus ring is nicely dampened. Although, I have heard that manufacturing is NOT consistent, therefore your copies focusing may vary. Manual focus took a little getting used to and the eye sight is not that great now. The aperture ring is clickless, which I am not sure about just yet. However, it works! This is a nice lens, compact and light weight. Although, I could not focus properly, had to use focus peeking due to changes in eyesight. I did not give the lens a fair shake and ended up returning for an AF lens.

Best bang for the buck you'll find.
It's cheap, it's small and it's sharp, surprisingly so. Yes the corners get a bit soft, but so do most lenses ever made. Great for throwing on a mirrorless. Ignore the distance scale, it's just there for looks. Seriously It’s so off, I think it’s actually measuring optimism, not distance. Other than that, grab it and go like a Mark and Sparks sandwich.

The must have lens
Please buy this lens! It is honestly an essential for the beginner. I am not a beginner, but we using this in many situations has brought me a lot of fantastic shots. Honestly just as reliable as a nifty 50 if you ask me

Great lens but with reserve
I bought this lens to test out manual focus on my X-Pro1. the lens quality is very good. the lens has very smooth movement. My issues are that it has a clickless aperature ring and I am constantly hitting it and moving it from the set position. That is the only negative quyalirty of thei lens. The price is good and the build is good.

Not to expectations or maybe so.
Version2 of review. After trying again in a better lit place, the focus does seem to work. Not quite the sharpness I was looking for, but will take it out and see what I can actually get. I wanted to like this lens. However the focus was continuously out. Isn’t my first rodeo with manual focus lenses. Infinity is not infinity and when using a range of focus such as I use for old Nikon glass, Brightin Star glass or Voigtlander glass, this 7Artisan lens never seems to get anything in focus except maybe 3 feet away instead of everything between infinity and the 3 feet. Perhaps I just got a bad copy but probably will not purchase any other lens in this price range again.

Great bokeh !!
This little lens is pretty amazing for the price , it create a pretty good bokeh when wide open and focusing is fairly good, little bit of distortion on the corners but is minimum.

A very fun & “vintage-looking, affordable lens
I was looking for a cheap and compact lens to have for street photography and traveling. Combined with my XT-2 and some Lightroom, I’m really enjoying this lens so far. You can’t beat it for the price. It has really nice bokeh, and obviously distinct bokeh. I will say that it it performs best around 2.8-5.6, anything else wide open is sometimes soft or has some vignettes, depending on the lighting. This lens also flares like crazy which can be great and annoying depending on your taste, but you can fix that with a lens hood. The body feels nice for an affordable lens.
