Draper 44961 Engineers File and Rasp Set with Soft Grip, 200mm, 8 Pieces , Blue

This is a great set of files and rasps. The largest rasp whipped through solid oak like a hot knife through butter and shaping of oak handles was effortless using this. Smoothing and fine tuning of the shape was then easily achieved using the assorted files in the set. The roll they come packaged in for storage seems adequate for the job and will do nicely for sitting on a shelf until used next. Handles are comfortable for sustained use and the metal used for the files themselves appears strong and wear resistant. I haven't used them for long but so far they seem like they will last. The usual Draper quality with this set at a good competitive price.

I use this files for 1,5 year now at work almost every day. Still good. I dont throw them in anger, use it as tool should be used. I can recomend it. Great value for money.

Not a bad little set. Well made a little rough on the edges but over all good enough for the job.

I'm no tradesman/expert but they feel great quality to me and have been more than sufficient for my DIY purposes. Tremendous value at £3.21 per file (£25.67 total inc VAT).

This is a great set of well made tools. My only issues are that the files are too fine for woodwork really unless you are doing fine work, whereas the rasps are too aggressive unless you are trying to take off a lot of material. So, you would need to pair this with other tools in order to have a good range of options. But, these tools themselves are very good at what they do

Bought these for work, did the job perfectly. Can't go wrong for the money, the plastic wallet they are supplied with is typically plastic and not very sturdy but these are stored in the tool box so that doesn't both me.

Great value although not the best quality. I use these for occasional jobs on my motorcycle projects and they are fine. I would invest in better quality ones if I was I serious engineer.

Perfect for my project. As good as the previous set I have, purchased about 10 years ago!! I have had good use from that set, perhaps some would say abuse!! Highly recommend.

Schnelle Lieferung und Verpackung in Ordnung, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut. Die Feilen sind für den Preis absolut in Ordnung für den Preis, natürlich bekommt man um den relativ niedrigen Preis keine Profiqualität. Bemerkbar macht sich der günstigere Preis nur bei der Verpackung (günstiger Kunststoff der nicht unbedingt Dauerhaltbar erscheint und am Griff, ebenfalls günstig erscheinender Kunststoff). Der Materialabtrag ist sehr homogen und sehr stark, die Vielfalt der Formen (rund, halbrund, flach) ist sehr gut, so dass man für jeden Zweck die passende Feile zur Hand hat. Für den Preis eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Consegna assolutamente tempestiva, come di consueto, e imballaggio adeguato. Non sono in grado ovviamente di dare un giudizio sulla qualità del metallo con cui sono costruite le sei lime e le due raspe presenti nel set ma gli strumenti appaiono decisamente validi e di dimensione superiore a quella che mi aspettavo. Infatti, i 200 mm. di lunghezza richiamati nella descrizione di prodotto riguardano solo la parte metallica e non l'impugnatura che risulta, oltre tutto, molto valida in fase di utilizzo. Le lime sono di grana media, con le forme più tipiche per i diversi usi e, per il poco che le ho utilizzate, mi sembrano comunque funzionali. Solo un appunto mi sento di fare riguardo al contenitore "a busta" che, seppur valido allo scopo, considerata la dimensione degli utensili potrebbe essere più degnamente sostituito da una mini valigetta rigida sul tipo di quella utilizzata per il set di scalpelli da legno sempre della Draper. Pienamente soddisfatto comunque del prodotto.

Well made files. You get a decent choice of files for the money. I have two socket sets made by draper's which I have been using it for last fourty years and they haven't let me down yet. So I am hoping this set of files will last me for a long period. Personally I think the plastic wallet for storage of this files is a waste of time.
