I knew next to nothing going in about using an OB2 scanner As a road map for automotive repair. What a relief it was for me that this entry level device gave me an easily understandable and informative introduction to the basics OB2 diagnostic/Scanners. The most important thingfor me is I now have a starting point when I get stuck or when my car isn't running right and if I can't figure out how to do it I will have the information I need to pass it on to someone that will. By purchasing this very economically priced scanner you will better understand DTC codes and how to remove them, how to prepare your car for emissions, how to view and understand how your vehicle is running in real time at idle and with a load and how to remove trouble codes once the repair is complete. I've personally watched endless videos on Youtube trying to figure out why my car was lacking acceleration and fuel economy. I plugged in this scanner admittedly as a last resort and Im sure glad I did. I have the peace of mind that I know where to start if trouble arises, where to acquire the information needed to do basic repairs myself. The peace of mind I was able to achieve for only 36 bucks, might be the best buck I can remember spending in a long long time. For the entry level diy guy Connor this is the scanner for you..

Not a bad scan tool by any metric, considering your features are limited by price in this domain, it's a very handy tool for beginner mechanics and DIYers alike. Some features could be better explained though.

Good for the price

Plugged it in turned on key it gave me the code, I switched to clean code after a couple tries it finally cleared code. Instructions that come with it aren't real clear but looked it up and found out how to work it. It's good for the home shop but definitely not a pro model.

Se conecta fácilmente al puerto OBD2 de mi auto, el proceso de configuración fue muy rápido y no tuve que instalar nada complicado en mi teléfono o computadora. Lo que más me gusta es que identifica códigos de error con precisión, muestra descripciones claras y me ha ayudado a entender qué está funcionando bien y qué necesita atención sin tener que ir directamente al taller cada vez. También borra códigos de error sin problemas una vez que soluciono la falla, lo cual es súper útil. La pantalla es clara y fácil de leer, los menús son intuitivos, y la herramienta responde rápido a cada comando. La calidad de construcción se siente sólida y duradera, no barata como otros escáneres económicos que he probado antes. En general, el escáner zmoon OBD2 me ha ahorrado tiempo y dinero, y me da más confianza para hacer diagnósticos básicos por mi cuenta. Lo recomiendo totalmente tanto para principiantes como para cualquier persona que quiera una herramienta confiable para diagnóstico de auto.

This product does not provide any information for error codes for my car. Had a “check engine” warning msg come up on my car. Plugged in this device and it said there were no errors found! Mechanic plugged in his more sophisticated OBDII reader in to my car and it showed a “oil pressure sensor error”. On further investigation found out that pretty much any “cheaper” OBDII readers are just a waste of time.
