Does it unzip all the way around ie flat so you can put your clothes flat

This case doesn't unzip like a traditional suitcase, but you can still put your clothes in flat. You just have to build layers, which is why the maker suggests putting heavy things on the bottom, so lighter or more fragile items don't get crushed. Hope this helps.

Is this foldable bag? I.e hard lower part and flexible upper part?

The bottom 6 inches or so are hard, the rest is soft, but there are a series of zips that let you make the bag as short or high as you want so that it always seems 'full'. We took it on a sailing holiday so that it could collapse int a very small space when empty and it was perfect.

What does the inside look like? Can we hang clothes in it, or simply lay clothes in the bag?
