What can I say but I expected plaster and I got plaster

If you’ve never used Plaster of Paris (P of P) this review could help. You have 10 min to use it before it hardens. Once it does, it can’t be revived. It’s possible, however, to add water to it before it hardens completely if you time it correctly. The product won’t return to the consistency it was when it was initially mixed but if there are spots that were missed on the first pass, adding water to the remaining material will offer a much thinner paste to finish the job. VERY IMPORTANT: Add ice cubes to the water to make it as cold as possible. This will lengthen the amount of time to use it before it hardens. Remove the ice cubes from the water before adding the plaster. Sprinkle the plaster over the water not the other way around. Allow the plaster to sink into the water. Gently move the container (a flat, disposable one) back an forth. Continue sifting the plaster tower the water. Stir gently after about half of the plaster’s been added. Aggression stirring will cause tiny bubbles to form. You absolutely don’t want bubbles. You also don’t want to add th plaster in teaspoons or tablespoons to hurry the process along. This will only create clumps that simply can’t be stirred or mashed away. Make certain the surface to which the P of P will be applied is within reach and ready to go. Don’t consider putting in a load of laundry or taking a phone call after you’ve mixed the plaster, I used it to fill holes and gouges on the curvilinear area of a mirror where the consistency had to be fairly thin. Decide in advance how you’ll apply the P of P. You won’t have time to figure it out or dash to find the right tool after it’s been mixed. The price and quality of this plaster is great. The seller is too. No dawdling!

I loved this! I’m a (new!) middle school science teacher, and while learning about the fossil record, I wanted to give my kids something fun to take away from this. We used some fossils, playdoh, and this to make molds and imprints. My kids loved it, and they felt like it was a valuable lesson.

I bought this plaster for a home decorating project and I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to work with. I used it to secure some artificial flowers in a base so they would be firmly in place and stable. Then I placed that base inside a decorative vase, and the result was very pretty and sturdy. The mixture is quite smooth and easy to work with if you follow the correct proportions with water. I also liked that it dries relatively quickly and helps keep everything firmly in place. After drying, the material feels firm and strong. The texture is also quite smooth and clean. The package lasts quite a while for several small projects, and I found it very practical for crafts and home decorating.

Sets up so fast out of 6 molds only one was good. I had to throw the others away.

Easy to mix good instructions worked well for what we needed. 1lb doesn't go that far order more than you think you need. 1 bag made 3 small baby handprints.

Tried to make a temporary veneer cover and it melts easily. You can reheat to fix the shape. It does look extra white but it can be dyed to to look closer to your actual teeth color. You will need to learn on refining the shape. Take a bit of learning curve but its easy to work with

Let me start off by saying that this product is very easy to use. The plaster captures detail very nicely. I noticed that it hardens very quickly so my molds are ready in an hour. The plaster is very smooth depending on what youre using it for. After whatever you're making, its always easy to paint or color you're item. The plaster is pretty expensive but the amount you're getting is worth it. The speed of the delivery was really fast which was great. You have to work very quickly with the plaster. You can make almost anything with the plaster. When the plaster hardens, it is very cement like especially if youre using molds. Overall I highly recommend getting this product.

It sets fast so be careful with your timing. Sets well.
