KONG Gyro Interactive Treat Dispenser, For Medium/Large Dogs

Dog liked this Kong toy. He’s a large dog and he plays rough with toys. This is still going strong after a month, small signs of wear where he grabs it with his teeth but still fully functional. Keeps him well occupied but isn’t so hard he gets frustrated. Can be noisy being thrown about as it’s hard plastic. Most treats fit, as does his kibble. Good value for money. Middle unscrews for easy cleaning.

Great treat food dispenser but the center ball opened and would not clip back together again after a week. It was the useless.

The dog loves this. Have 2 now. So easy to fill and clean.

I've only given this to my dog twice for about ten minutes each time and it's already completely covered in teeth marks on the outer ring and I feel she could probably break through it if I left it with her for too long. All the rubber kong toys I've bought her have lasted extremely well, I'm not sure if it's because this is plastic or what but it really is not as durable. Dog still likes it though. Would be a great toy for a dog less inclined to chew everything up. Mine is a GSD x Malinois though to be fair so very few toys don't get destroyed by her.

I've had this for a week now and used it 3 times to give my Guide Dog his kibble at the end of the day. He's a large 31kg Labrador and he loves this toy. He doesn't seam to get bored of pushing it around and playing with it to get his food rewards out. It keeps him busy for a while. It is a little noisy yes but that's to be expected on wooden floors and when it hits walls etc as it's made of strong solid plastic. I like how the central ball unscrews in half so you can either put the food in quicker or take it out if the dog is struggling with that last piece of kibble that just refuses to come out lol.

It was good whilst it lasted but didn’t last more than 2 months before it was in pieces.

My 6 month old cocker spaniel puppy loves it. He's worked out how to roll it around so the treats come out and it gives him good exercise till he goes for his daily walk

When we first bought this toy, I’d have had no issue with giving it five stars as our dog absolutely LOVES it. However, whilst the toy itself is still ‘in tact’ and our dog hasn’t managed to destroy it, there are issues with the mechanics which have made it less of a feeding toy and more of a frustration. There is a plastic ball, which houses the treats/kibble, places in between a thick rubber ring. The ball is supposed to rotate so that the toy can be moved and release treats as your dog plays. The ball no longer turns, which means that our dog has to physically lift the toy and turn it over - and even then has to do so at the right angle - in order to get a reward. We have investigated the issue, and it appears that when you open and close the ball in middle there is scope for the closure to ‘warp’, meaning that the closure is no longer flush and as such takes up more space between the rubber than it should. This prevents the ball from turning, and sadly isn’t something that we are able to fix.

I would recommend this product. My one-year-old Staffy loves to roll this around the floor with the intention of getting some treats. There aren't many products on the market that are this versatile and can withstand the gnawing teeth of this puppy. As a Kong product, it lives up to its reputation. I would advise, as noted in their instructions, to remove it once the treats are gone because it is not a chew toy and could be destroyed. She already pulled the top of the ball off just as I was about to take it away. It would have definitely been chewed if left unattended for long. But this doesn't take away from my five-star rating.
