Roland Hi-Hat
Purchased this replace a faulty hi-hat on my son's drum kit. The Roland hi-hit is much better quality than the faulty one I replaced..... Good purchase

Great high hat really sturdy
This particular trigger is really responsive and sturdy I've had it on my kit for a couple years now and it still shows no damage and work as well as when I bought it

Repair possibility?
Writing this review based on the OEM versions that came with my son's HD-1. They lasted many years flawlessly however recently developed intermittent and then completely blank signal. I'm sure these replacements will be just as good as the originals BUT FIRST NOTE - in the end I managed to repair my son's broken one by removing the back panel, removing the two screws holding the small circuit board in place and soldering back the disconnected red and white wires. The board is labelled where the red and white should be soldered. If you feel confident then it may be worth a repair first before splashing out on a new one, to save same cash :-)

Roland Quality
These are replacements. The ony piece in my kit that I am replacing on the regular. Cheaper than getting them through Long and McQuade but waiting for shipping. If you're in a hurry go get them from retail. If you're simply being proactive this is a great way to save money. Excellent Roland quality!!

Roland Quality You Expect
I have been performing weekly year round for the past nine years using the Roland CY series E cymbals and non other compare to their performance, durability and reliability. The CY-5 is a great little Hi Hat that comes complete with its own mounting arm and notched base for rack mounting.
