What is the diameter of the inner shoulder? The replacement I am looking for needs to be 47mm overall, but 38mm on the inner shoulder.

The outside overall diameter is 47mm and the inside shoulder diameter is 38mm. The seal sits between the inside and outside diameters.

Anyone know the width of the shaft? My current one is 8mm.

I moved into my house and the bath has a plug like this but it just gets stuck if i order a new will it work or is it something wrong with the bath ?

When you say "it gets stuck" are you sure it is not simply that the stem has not been adjusted to be long enough for the top of the plug to be pushed open from below by the mechanism? If, when you operate the mechanism (usually the overflow roundel), it moves freely until it becomes "springy" before stopping - and the plug has not lifted, then you probably need to release the brass coloured nut on the stem and wind the screw outwards to sufficient length before re-tightening. You should need to use grips or pliers to do this simple job.
