Seems to work well

This ice crusher does the job. Had it 2 months now, and used quite a lot. Love the little scoop. The ice crusher does feel to be on the cheap side. At first, when I was winding the handle, I thought it might break, as doesn't feel very durable, so I bear that in mind. We use larger ice cubes to crush, and it probably uses a whole tray.

I was really excited about this ice crusher, and the mechanism is simple and everything, but the way the top falls off of the bottom unless you use both hands was very difficult for me. Since I use a wheelchair, I can't stand above it to apply downward pressure. So, I replaced this unit with the very similar one from "VonShef", whose only downside compared to this one is that its bucket is half the size. But I never crush that much at once anyway. The VonShef unit is all one piece, and can be used one handed. Its feet grip the work surface better too. The actual mechanism looks like they sourced it from the same place, and the functionality is identical. They have the same scoop, and the same handle, and the same teeth.

This was initially a great device - drop in some ice cubes, turn the handle, and out came crushed ice. However, it proved very difficult to clean and dry properly and, after a few years of use, began to develop some slime inside. This came back regardless of how often the blades and barrel inside were cleaned and dried. As such, I would not recommend this device, unless you like your ice with a sprinkling of slime after a few years. It needs to be easier to dismantle and clean the mechanism inside.

Seriously impressed with this. Its taken some fair abuse over the year that I've had it and its still going strong. Not it isn't motorised and something less slip on the base would be better but on the whole for the money no big complaints at all. Time for another Mojito anyone.

This may be the best money I ever spent at Amazon. I have a tiny Dutch kitchen and no room for a fridge with an ice maker. Electric ice crushers are expensive and generally receive fairly dismal reviews, so when I was asked what I wanted for Mother's Day, I gave my family a link to this product. It has proven to be excellent, and at the price, even if the plastic does EVENTUALLY wear out (as the two-star review predicts, apparently based on nothing, including having actually used the product), I'd rather have to replace all or part of this manual model than to have to deal with disposing of yet another faulty and/or subpar electrical appliance. Great value for money and a great way to let your kids spoil themselves (it's easy enough for my kids - aged 9 and 10 - to use) with an "exotic" lemonade cocktail on a hot summer day.

Simplemente perfecto, hace muy bien su función, en unos 20-30 segundos picas 10 cubitos de hielo de los hechos en el congelador, de forma muy limpia. Ahora a disfrutar de los mojitos 😀
