No. You move the pieces manually. The board recognizes and tracks each move you make.

Why can't I connect to Bluetooth?

Enable GPS on your phone,the BLE connection relies on GPS,then allow location access for the Chessnut app.Do not pair the board in your phone settings.In the app,tap the Bluetooth icon to connect.Make sure the blue LED flashes;press Power if needed.

Can I play on Chess.com and Lichess?

Yes. Connect the board through the Chessnut app, then sign in to your Chess.com or Lichess account to play supported online games with physical pieces.

Can I adjust or turn off the board LEDs?

LED brightness cannot be adjusted. You can turn the LEDs off in Board Settings after connecting the board to the Chessnut app.

What should I do if the LEDs flash or pieces are not recognized?

In the Chessnut app, open Bot Match -> Board Editor to check piece recognition. If LEDs keep flashing, move the board away from metal surfaces and wireless devices, such as chargers or power banks, to avoid interference.
