Cocoons Fitovers Polarized Sunglasses Pilot (LG)

I had bought two different brands of wrap around sunglasses before I purchased the Cocoon brand and was unhappy with the different brands. One was too heavy and gave me a headache if I wore them to long and the other didn't give me enough room and I was afraid they would scratch my prescription lenses. I love the Cocoons, they are light, fit right over my glasses and they look good. I also like the fact that I can purchase them on Amazon. I have already recommended the Cocoons to several freinds and family.

Well I love Cocoon Fitover Sunglasses and I bought these as my current pairs are getting old and banged up. These work great too, but I got the LG size which I shouldn't have. Now the regular Cocoons that I buy are a bit smaller, so they don't fit completely over my prescription glasses. Because of this I had to trim the older Cocoon frames at key spots with a Dremel to make them fit nicely over the prescription glasses. The advantage of these Larger Cocoons is that they fit easily over the prescription glasses underneath without any trimming of the Cocoon frame. The disadvantage is they are huge and may appear too large in proportion to your face!

This is my second pair of Cocoons, which I purchased because I thoughtlessly chose a different sized frame for my prescription glasses. Fishing with polaroid glasses, in my view, is as essential as fishing with a rod and reel -- don't leave home without them.These sunglasses come in a number of sizes and one must pick the right size, which is easy to do with the sizing chart. Follow the directions that come with the chart on their website and it can't be easier.The cocoons fit snuggly over your prescription glasses, and stay in place while fishing. They cover the straight ahead and peripheral vision. They reduce eye strain when fishing in bright sunlight, which I learned when waiting for these to arrive after getting my new prescription glasses. The lens quality is very good and I have no problem putting fine tippet through small hook eyes. These sunglasses do what I need and don't get in the way. It is not an essential quality but they are nice looking glasses as well.I will always have a pair of these glasses for my fishing.

I have the worst luck with clip-on sunglasses. Usually it is hard to find ones that fit the size and shape of my glasses. The ones I did find were from the eye doctor, and they were pricey. As my eyes require some serious lenses, a second pair of glasses to be used as sunglasses is financially not an option. Recently I needed to get new glasses, and every frame didn't match any clip-on size. Then I discovered the Cocoons. They are great! They fit very comfortably over my glasses. Due to the design, with the wrap-around and deeper 'ledge' on top, they cut out so much more glare. I know they come in limited options of frame colors, but the colors available should work with most wardrobes. The price of these was only a few dollars more than the clip-ons from the eye doctor. I find the frames to be quite sturdy and will probably last me a lot longer than the cheap thin metal clips.BE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR EXISTING EYEGLASSES. Cocoons come in about five different sizes to best fit over glasses.

My glasses have a very strong and unusual prescription and if they get out of alignment, it drives me crazy! Taking them off and on really changes their fit so I do not have separate sunglasses. When I discovered Cocoons I was in heaven. Problem solved! I always wear them and simply take them off when not needed, not my glasses. They cover the sides of my face so no dirt or dust blows into my eyes and there are several colors to choose from. Not only can I see with them, but my doctor recommended them for my problems. I like to have several pair around - in different colors - but really prefer a gray lens. I also feel a great sense of security - my regular glasses are less vulnerable.

Great fit overs for prescription glasses. Love the amber lenses for driving in the bright desert sun. The amber lenses seem to block the sun but enhance the detail in objects. Comfortable and easy to adjust the arms. I have a pair in yellow for nighttime driving to help reduce the glare from the newer headlights on some vehicles. Both lenses, yellow and amber work well in stormy or inclement weather as well. I find myself wearing one pair or the other before hitting the road.

I now have 4 pairs of these things in different lens colors. That lets me use the one that is best for any condition. They are great if you have progressive lens in that they just fit over your normal glasses and keep the saltwater off of them when running a boat. You can just take off the Fitovers when you need to see clearly. A quick rinse cleans up the Fitovers and you're back in business. They are comfortable and very tough; almost impossible to break. The lenses will get scratched over time, but for some reason the scratches aren't as annoying as scratches in regular glasses. The polarization isn't quite as good as with high end dedicated prescription sunglasses, so they aren't as good for spotting fish. But the lower cost and the ability to use different color lenses makes up for that.

I bought the Cocoons for my companion on a recommendation from a friend. My companion loves them. They protect the eyes well, are a comfortable fit, and enclose the entire eyes like goggles so that light in your peripheral vision is filtered. The glass is distortion free and the copper color that we bought enhances the natural color of your surroundings without overpowering or masking it. Cocoons are definitely a good product that I would recommend. My companion likes them well enough that he is thinking of buying a second pair as a spare.

these provide an excellent alternative to prescription sunglasses. I wear them for cycling and the wrap around does an excellent job of keeping both the sun glare and rain and wind out of the eyes. Be careful with sizing because they do come out really big

For a change over glasses sunglasses that aren't black or tortoise. Lovely fit and feel really comfotable over my glases

Cocoons are the best sunglasses ever. Have worn fitover glasses for over 30 years and would never go back to regular sunglasses even though I do not wear corrective lenses.
