Excellent Thai Hom Mali white rice from Green Dragon. A 2025 government certified crop that gaurentees it's high quality Jasmine AAA rice, that cooks beautifully either in a pan, microwave or as l use, a rice cooker. At £10 for five kilos it's a great buy, and one l'm sure you'll enjoy. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using Green Dragon Thai Fragrant Jasmine Rice for a few weeks now. As someone who eats rice almost daily, I’d give it a solid 7/10. It is definitely a step up from supermarket long-grain, but there are a couple of things to consider. The Good: Beautiful Aroma: The "fragrant" part of the name is no joke. As soon as the rice cooker starts steaming, the whole kitchen smells like authentic Thai jasmine. It has that lovely, slightly sweet floral scent you expect from AAA Hom Mali rice. Perfect Texture: When cooked correctly, the grains are soft, slightly sticky (as Jasmine rice should be), and have a great "mouthfeel." It’s the perfect companion for a green curry or a stir-fry. High Quality: You can see the quality of the grains in the bag—they are long, white, and there are very few broken pieces or "dust" at the bottom of the 5kg sack. The Not-So-Good: Premium Price Tag: While the quality is high, the price is also quite a bit higher than other reputable Thai brands. You are definitely paying a premium for the "Green Dragon" name. Very Fussy with Water: This rice is quite sensitive to the water-to-rice ratio. If you add even a tiny bit too much, it turns from "perfectly sticky" to "mushy" very quickly. It took me three tries to get the timing exactly right. Packaging: The 5kg bag is sturdy, but it isn’t resealable. Once you snip the top, you really need a large airtight container to keep it fresh and prevent it from losing that signature aroma. Final Verdict: This is a high-quality, delicious rice that delivers a true restaurant-style experience at home. It loses a few points simply because it’s a bit expensive and less "forgiving" to cook than some other Jasmine brands. If you're a rice connoisseur, it's worth it, but for a casual side dish, it might be overkill.

I get this rice all the time. Very fragrant and easy to cook. Well worth the price. Forget the rest, jasmine is best.

Lovely fragrant rice. Comes out great cooked in a rice cooker. Pricier than the other 'Thai' rice brands but worth it.

This is the second bag of this rice I’ve bought and it’s delicious. It cooks nicely, can make it sticky if you want to. It cooks in just the same way as any other rice but for me the best thing is the smell when it’s cooking. I use a rice cooker that has a timer on it so I set it up the night before, and have the rice cooked as I get ready for work before I put the cooked rice in my food flask along with whatever else I’m having with it. The smell of jasmine rice permeates the house and it really is one of the best smells.

Must say I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the ride was better than I expected easily prepared and has an amazing taste it’s going to be my go to rice for the future I’m awarding it a5*+fir seller and product
