Keeping it Cool: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Air Cooler
Alright, so I just upgraded my CPU cooling game with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE, and let me tell you, my computer feels like it's sipping iced tea on a hot day. I'm no tech genius, just a person tired of hearing their PC sound like a jet engine.First things first, the size โ it's not this towering monolith that swallows up your entire rig. At 120mm, it fits comfortably without turning your build into a spaceship. Plus, it doesn't look half bad. Sleek design, and the black coating gives it that "serious business" vibe.Installation was surprisingly painless. No need for a degree in engineering โ just slap it on and tighten a few screws. The instructions were like a buddy guiding me through it; I didn't feel like I needed to consult a tech dictionary. Now, the cooling power. This thing is like a ninja in the shadows โ quiet but deadly effective. My temps dropped like they just heard a great joke. Even under heavy loads, it's keeping its cool without sounding like a hurricane in my room. And trust me, I appreciate the silence.Build quality is top-notch. It feels robust and well-made, like it's ready to take on CPU heat with a vengeance. The heat pipes do their job, and the whole thing just screams reliability. Plus, it's compatible with a bunch of different sockets, so you're not limited in your CPU choices. The Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a game-changer for me. If you're tired of your PC sounding like it's about to take off, and you want reliable, efficient cooling without breaking the bank, this cooler is definitely worth a look. My computer's running cooler than a polar bear in a snowstorm, and I'm here for it.

Superb Value CPU Cooler...Just Buy It!
Needed a new cooler as my i7 kept overheating under load and shutting down the PC, usually at some crucial point!Looked at various solutions including water cooled but many were horrendously expensive and with the state of the world at the moment not having to spend a lot was a key consideration. I saw this model and read the reviews...it looked good, so out came the credit card and I purchased it.Now this is a big old boy and I was a bit concerned on arrival if it would actually all fit my case. But installation was a breeze and it fitted in perfectly. Great choice of mounts for Intel or AMD. Buy some of your own thermal paste though as the supplied paste wasnt great...too dry and wouldn't adhere to the CPU well. Once its mounted its cooling performance is very impressive with temperatures being halved under load. Plus its VERY quiet. What a bargain this cooler is. Its just superb. Forget your Noctuas or your fancy AIO's ...buy this beauty and save a packet!

Great cooling, great adaptability, decent thermal paste provided!
Very good at cooling, especially for the price!!The thing that surprised me the most is that the thermal paste provided is 12W/m-K. Usually other brands supply with 6v or lower... and this thermal paste is in a very good range... didn't expect that. Of course you can get better thermal paste, but i expected there to be none or a very cheap one.... You can tell they care about basic performance.... even to the user who doesn't think too much about what paste to use :)Even running on full speed it is not as loud as i expected it to be. If alternate fans are bough can defiantly bring the noise down but without spending quite a bit on those fans your not going beat the stock noise level easily.Fits nicely inside my fractal design case and seems to be about standard size. The only issue i had with he size is that as it is a little wide by RAM sits under the side fan. I had to clip on the fan ona few millimetres higher so it did not rest against the ram. Take note of where your RAM chips are.... however how the fans clip on make it a very easy thing to work around. All in all for the price this is one of the better i have found. And as as of the decent paste... you really can tell they have thought about best for customers rather then how to skin people for there money.Comes with many attachments to suite multiple chipsets..... brilliant!! means i can take this with me when upgrading my machine!!!!I would recommend this to anyone.

Big Cooling, Small Price
I installed the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE in my rig, and itโs honestly one of the best bang-for-buck coolers Iโve used. Itโs got a dual-tower design with six heatpipes and two 120mm fans, and it handles heat like a champโeven with high-end CPUs. My temps dropped noticeably, and it stays whisper quiet unless Iโm pushing things hard.Installation was straightforward, and it fits nicely in my mid-tower case. Just make sure your RAM isnโt too tall, since the front fan sits close. Build quality feels solid, and it doesnโt look cheap either. For the price, this cooler punches way above its weight. If you want serious air cooling without spending a fortune, this oneโs a no-brainer

It's an overkill for a first build.
It's overkill performance for my Ryzen 5 5500, it's always stays right below 60 Celsius, will probably be enough tho for when I switch to Ryzen 7 5800x3D, Noise level is very low and if I ever want to switch to Intel in the future, there are extra specs left in the box for it.

awesome cooler for the price
overkill is the name of the game with this one. i bought it for looks as it does look awesome in my PC but my temps dont move. i dont overclock and dont game but i have no doubt my CPU will never overheat with this mounted on it. runs totally silent with good air movement

Solid cooler, not pleasing to the eye.
It does what it is meant to, kept my i9 to a max temp of 74 degrees during AAA gaming. But it is not very attractive to look at. I feel the black one would have been more pleasing to the eye and compliment my build or the white one for a white build, in fact the standard one does not compliment any build unless you are going for industrial look.Really good cooler but spend the extra ยฃ10 and get the black one or white one.
