Awesome Nano-block style kit! Very good quality
This was the ultimate Nanoblock-style kit! The first and most important thing to know is that these are Nano/Micro block scale. That is: smaller than Lego, smaller than Petite blocks, etc. Most of the Nano scale models I've built have been pretty small. This thing is a beast! With almost 4000 pieces, it took me a couple of weeks of slowly assembly on my table whenever I would pass by.The instructions are pretty intense too. It goes layer by layer from the top view perspective. Each "step" has hundreds of pieces placed (in some cases). It is pretty intimidating and easy to make mistakes. But with patience and a careful eye, you'll eventually get there.I absolutely love this set. Very cool for a mega nano project. My only "complaint" is that it's really hard to get the blocks apart if you make a mistake. This is really good for structural integrity - the model is not gonna fall apart! But it does take some prying to separate them. The kit comes with a tool, but I didn't find it to be effective.Overall, this is my favorite Nano-block style kit I've ever done! Comes in a nice box too, so when I'm ready I'll break it down and keep it in there.

Beautiful but difficult to construct
The City Building is rated 5 out of 6 blocks for difficulty. The pieces are mini blocks, different from Lego blocks. These are great if you work with miniatures or fixing clocks. I had needle nose pliers and a small flathead screwdriver to help me remove blocks I placed incorrectly and to build and place blocks. It was missing one piece but with all the leftover pieces I was able to cobble together a few different ones to fill in for the missing piece. The instructions were easy to understand in some places, but difficult in others. It took us over a week to complete it, with my son (who loves Legos) ran away in horror after day 5. I has to ask a friend’s child to help me finish the last few trees. The pieces were many times flying out of our hands, landing on the floor.Once completed it is extremely beautiful.I gave it 4 stars because it is well worth the money and although difficult to build, it is quite stunning!

Gorgeous architectural model
This building set is made with nanoblocks. That means they are smaller than the traditional blocks that you see in Lego kits. It also means that the finished model is smaller and more delicate. I like nanoblock and microblock kits because since the finished product is smaller it's easier to find a place to display it. With almost 4000 pieces this is one of the most ambitious kits that I've ever tried. When finished it's absolutely amazing, so very detailed, and challenging to build. This kit will take you at least a couple of evenings of work. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. You build in a bottom up format starting with the base and adding blocks a layer at a time. The blocks are separated into bags and each bag equates to one step. The numbering of the bags doesn't quite follow the numbering of the steps because sometimes there are multiple bags for a step but its clearly marked at the top of the page. The instructions also tell you which bricks should be in the bag and there is also an overall listing of all the blocks on the back page. When I first started building my kit I was dismayed to discover that there was a bag of blocks missing. I contacted the seller through Amazon and their customer service was amazing. They were quick to help me figure out what was missing and sent it to me quickly so I could get right back to building my kit.

Micro bricks - smaller than mini bricks, which are smaller than Lego. Can never disassemble?
I've played with Lego bricks for many decades. Just recently I've used mini bricks, which are smaller than Lego, but once I got used to them, they seem pretty neat. These are micro bricks, which I didn't realize. They are smaller than mini bricks. At first I thought they were cool. But then I placed one in the wrong place, and the brick separator that was included didn't help at all. I realized that by placing another brick on top of the wrong brick, I could leverage it off. So I thought all was well. Then there were some plates that didn't have studs - flat on top. With Lego bricks like this (tiles), there is a gap around the bottom where you can use a fingernail to get it off. These have no gap. The brick separator didn't help. I finally had to get out a plastic box cutter (similar to a metal bladed box cutter, but plastic, so not quite as sharp). That did the trick but scratched the pieces a little. So, if you are familiar with MICRO (not mini) bricks and are ok with these issues, than this looks like a lovely model. But be aware that putting a brick - and especially a tile - in the wrong place can cause a hassle - especially when you are laying the first bricks onto the base plate. And the thought of ever taking this set apart... I think it would be nearly impossible, or at least extremely time consuming. So you should only buy this set if you plan on assembling it and leaving it assembled forever. It's not like Lego bricks where you can take it apart and be creative, building your own thing.
