Good performance from a brand I've trusted - but not too easy to deflate
So far I used the beds just once, but had a great experience. I bought two of these and had elderly guests sleeping on them for 3 nights - they said they were very happy. The height of the bed makes it much easier to get up, which is a big help for anyone, but especially the elderly or someone with a physical issue. The beds were super easy to inflate with the inbuilt pump - this is so much easier than the separate pump I have for an older Intex bed. It was also a little quieter. The beds did not need topping up with air during the guests' stay - and weeks later (I was a bit lazy putting them away!), they are only a bit deflated, but it's as expected (Note that when weather gets colder and temperatures fall, this will make the air in the bed shrink and it will need topping up - just be aware that the bed going limp might not necessarily be due to a leak!). The raised pillow bump is actually also a very helpful addition compared to my old Intex bed. You can really just not use a pillow at all. I did a lot of research before buying these beds - and I think it was a good choice based on features, performance, and definitely the price you pay for these. The only issue I found was that it's not as easy as you think to deflate them back to the starting compact shape. When you open the valve and use the motor to suck the air out, something due to the internal structure of the air spaces traps a fair bit of air in the bed while at the motor itself a vacuum has been achieved and it's not sucking any more out. Even lying on the bed cannot easily force this air to the motor! I was very surprised. Eventually I was able to slowly force the air out but only after much swearing. So this was a disappointment, especially compared to my previous bed where you just pop the lid off and the air fully gushes out.

Superb Airbed and excellent value for money.
My thanks to earlier reviewers, whose comments led me to order this item. I am delighted with my purchase and the prompt delivery.Pros:Comfortable.Incredible easy to inflate and deflate courtesy of a very efficient pump and idiot-proof instructions. To deflate you simply reverse valve a half turn and switch on the pump. The pump was less noisy than I had been led to believe – about the level of an average vacuum cleaner. The note changes as the bed approaches working pressure.Very reasonably priced – it effectively pays for itself after only one use.Packs away into a compact canvas carrier bag (provided) A bit of a challenge to get it to fit, but feasible. Storage size approx. 20” x 15” x 8”.Seems to hold its pressure very well and, in any case, it is easily topped up.ConsAs mentioned elsewhere, quoted dimensions somewhat overstate its size– but I’m just under 6ft and no featherweight, and it is fine for me.The plastic does smell a bit to begin with but this fades away after leaving it inflated for a couple of days and before long was scarcely noticeable. If the user has never slept on an airbed before they will find the experience different from that of a normal mattress, but that is a characteristic of airbeds in general and not if this particular one.

Comfortable, quick and reliable.
I used this airbed for over a week while waiting for my proper bed to be delivered. I've also used it for guests on multiple occasions. It inflates in just a couple of minutes (noisily, but it is quick so it doesn't matter). You can easily adjust how hard or soft it is by letting out air.The ridges are quite prominent when it is well inflated, which I found comfortable but perhaps not everyone would. I think you can mitigate this by letting out some air though. The height of the bed makes it much more comfortable than normal air beds, and it is easier to get in and out of - a real advantage. It is also a good single size, not narrow like some airbeds can be.In all it's use so far I haven't found this bed to leak air during the night - at least not significantly. It deflates quickly and folds up into a drawstring bag for storage - very easy to pack away and to transport also.Overall I would highly recommend this air bed over others since it is so quick and easy to use, and very comfortable to sleep on.

Intex Airbed with Raised Pillow and Built-in Pump
Over the last 6 weeks I have stayed at a friends flat twice who had the queen size intex model that I slept on and I have to say not only was I impressed the first time I stayed and promised I would buy one that after my second stay there last weekend that was it, I was on here and purchasing one! I have a 1 bedroom flat so not much lounge space compared to my friend, so a single was the perfect solution because I did not want friends to keep sleeping on my nice new sofa. Delivery was exceptionally fast and with such ease the bed inflates in minutes and deflates in minutes sounds a bit like a hovercraft my mother said haha but for the time it takes to put up it is not an issue. I cannot wait to have my next friend to stay in a weeks time and surprise her with my new sleeping system to try out it is so comfortable and does not make noises when you move around like those old air beds we used to put our school friends on in the 90's. FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!!
