Arrived early , not too sure if really does try them that much quicker but kids like using it. Could do with a pack with just different colour beads. Like the product over all . Gets my 7 year old off minecraft !

Bought as a present.
Bought this as a present for my 11 year old nephew, he seems to really like it although I haven’t seen the finished article yet.

Didn’t work properly
My son loves these kind of creative things so was super excited to get this for his birthday but that excitement turned to pure frustration when all the beads pushed each other off the pin boards at the top of the Dinosaur template and won’t even stay on the Viking. He felt it was him. He is now trying to create without using the template. Not sure if we got some dodgy pin boards as other reviews are positive.

Works perfectly
Bought for my 8 year old minecraft mad son. These look similar to minecraft and he seems really happy with the finished result which he has displayed in his bedroom on the stand that comes with it. Easy to make and dry.

Quixel Dryer broke within a few months of infrequent use
When I first bought this for my Son in November he really enjoyed it (he's 5 years old and loves the idea of minecraft, but is too young to play the computer game). I bought the set for the spinning drier. It spins using a spring and cog based mechanism - the benefits to this is that it doesn't require batteries. He used it to make a model every couple of weeks, but I'd noticed that the spinner had started to slow down and it needed quite a lot of pushes on the button to make the drying plate spin. I bought him some more Quixels for Christmas, and he went to use the drier on his new models and found that the button didn't work any more. I opened up the back of the spinner to find that the 'teeth' to the cog / gear mechanism had all broken off (as the inner parts are all made of plastic, except for the spring.I'm not convinced that this toy is durable enough for long term use, and is quite an expensive gift to break so soon after purchase. That said, the Quixels themselves are still getting plenty of use. I'm just a little disappointed that the drier broke so soon after purchase.

he loves the spinning bit the best and spins it for way longer than needed
My 5 year old loves this, he loves the spinning bit the best and spins it for way longer than needed, I even caught him spraying extraneous water on so he could spin it longer.
