Q: Does it come with a protective pouch for storage?

It does not come with a protective 'pouch' as in a cloth type bag but does come in a hard plastic case which you can sit it in. This plastic cover protects the in ear nipple and everything on that side of the thermometer as it covers the whole of that side of it. Hope that helps!

I don’t know if this is suitable for baby but personally I would use it myself on a child of that age. If you have any concerns just ask someone to hold baby very still while taking temperature. It literally only takes seconds. And you don’t need to push the device very far into ear. I love mine. 😊Hope this helps. Ps. It is handy to purchase an extra supply of the little hygiene covers at same time as there aren’t many with the actual thermometer. These are definitely worth buying.

Yes. Very quick and easy but some dementia patients don't like it in their ear.
