Tombo Chromatic Pitchpipe

Purchased this Pitchpipe as a Xmas present for my husband. He is the musical director of a 4 part harmony choir who sing in a Capella & he also plays a variety of musical instruments. Because they are a Capella group he needs to use a Pitchpipe pipe to get the correct key for a song. He already owns the same Pitchpipe from several years ago and needed a back up one, so purchased the same product. He finds it an excellent product and suits his needs. Clear sound and a case to match. Happy with purchase.

Great pitch pipe. This is the brand that is used by the majority of Barbershop groups and quartets around the globe.

Nice piece of kit with very clear reed notes which seem to be pretty accurate. It has a nice finish and is easy to handle. The only thing I would say is that the note markings could be made a bit clearer. If you need to blow pitch in any hurry you really have to look closely at the markings. Overall well worth the money and hopefully this instrument should keep it's properties for along while to come.

As expected

A to G with flats and sharps. Each one has a separate mouth piece so easy to pick. Loud enough for a chorus of 40 to hear clearly.

Quality product, sound and looks. Comes in a lovely soft case. Can play a pitch quickly due to not having to set anything up. A note can be pitched very quietly, unlike other makes!

I bought this pitch pipe to replace an American one which was increasingly difficult to get an accurate note from. The Tombo product is a vast improvement. As I am involved in directing a 4-voice a capella quartet, it is important to have a reliable, accurate and audible source of starting note, and this is perfect for my purposes, although others seem to prefer whacking their head with a tuning fork and humming to the rest of the group! The pitch pipe is decently priced, easy to use, clearly marked and fairly robust, although the leather pouch isn't going to provide much protection against damage. It's also easy to get the right note "in the heat of the moment", due to the individual nozzles for each note. The only drawback for me is that it is difficult to play the pitch pipe quietly, and that is why I have awarded 4 stars instead of 5. Recommended, nonetheless.

I'm so happy that I chose this one to purchase! Excellent sound, a quality item! I need it for vocal auditions - to start on the correct note- and I can tune my other instruments (violin; guitar) with it as well.

I play in a band, and this is not a bad pitch pipe. Overall, the Tombo P-13E is a reliable and well-crafted pitch pipe that delivers on its promise of accurate tuning. While it may not replace electronic tuners for some, its simplicity and portability make it a valuable addition to any musician's toolkit. However, I found the sound output to be on the quieter side, which might be challenging in noisy environments.
