Not as expected
The item that turned up was not as it had been described. This didn't matter to me (I'm perfectly happy with the product), but it might to others, so just thought I'd mention it. What I ordered was a white bucket with a metal handle. What I got was a black bucket with a plastic handle. Also, I thought the lid was a tamper-proof one that you would want to use to seal your own contents inside, but when it arrived, the lid was on and there were no instructions on how to open it so the only way I could get into the bucket was to break the seal (unless I was just being dim?). Again, not an issue for me, but might be for others. The lid is very tight and has so far prevented rain getting into the bucket (which is stored outside) ... I haven't tested it for water leaking OUT. In fact, it was so tight, I had to cut some of the seal away to make it easier for me to open!

We use it for changing the water in the fish tank and it is well made.

Decent bucket but not quite what I needed
This will probably work excellently for most applications. It's not a nice opening/closing mechanism for the lid. The bin walls are very thin though. I have it under vacuum (dust cyclone receiver) and it immediately starts to collapse. I've had to fabricate a brace ring to keep it together instead of imploding.

Good airtight seal
Bought this to adapt as a 'cyclone' container for a workshop dust extraction system, using an old domestic vacuum as the power/vacuum source. Excellent. In fact the air seal is enough to collapse the bucket if the hose nozzle is obstructed. I resolved this by jamming the bucket into a second bucket to reinforce it. Good stuff!

Plastic handle not metal
This item was sold to me as having a metal handle. However, it arrived with a plastic handle and my experience is that plastic handles on buckets don't last long and usually give way when they are full of liquid.

Great buy
Great sturdy bucket, use it to transport and grow on fish fry, also as a holding bucket for sick fish. Would recommend this bucket to fish keepers . Nice and deep and the lid comes in really handy no more leaping fish or wet floors .
