These lights worked perfectly for us while rock hunting on vacation. Battery life probably isn't the greatest but good enough for our occasional use.

I initially purchased a different brand with 395 nm but it didn’t work, so I purchased this item instead and it is amazing. Pet stains, both new and old, light up clearly. Along with dust, dirt, and splatters. I was not prepared mentally when using this. I keep my house clean but this seriously made me nauseous to know how much filth can’t be seen with the naked eye. I literally want to live in a bubble now. The base is easy to hold although it does get hot after about 10 minutes. It comes with batteries and you can adjust the light range. The light made my eyes sensitive. It’s recommended to get UV safety goggles which I would recommend. There were a couple of times when the light reflected off of non-reflective surfaces and I quickly had to look away because it hurt my eyes. If you’re looking for a high quality effective black light, this is it.

Got this to find cat pee around the house...because cats are gross. Also found some cat vomit around the house as well. This is a great tool for cat pee and stuff - but also really fun to mess with otherwise as well. Plants turn fun colors, you find spills on the cabinets in the kitchen...not to mention the grease splatters! Places where when I water the plants - I splatter or over fill and leave water drops / rivers down the wall.

I decided to buy a back light on Amazon. Probably just like you, I found lots of choices. I've had two black lights before, so I'm familiar with what they show you. My previous black lights were ok, but nothing special. I ended up losing one, and the other broke. So here I was, looking for another. This review is for the Vansky X7 Pro 365nm UV light blacklight flashlight. This Vansky light is incredible. It is so much better than my two prior black lights I can't even quantify - I want to say 10X better, but it may be 100. Its that much better. I use black light to look for restoration or cracks in porcelain or paintings. This black light immediately reveals those issues (often you can't see really good restoration in normal light). I read about people using blacklights for pet pee stains. It does that easily. I don't have a pet, and I've been in my home for 14 years. However apparently the prior owner had a pet, because I found several 14+ year old pet pee stains! I took it into one of my bathrooms, and was horrified by the detail I could see. With the lights on, the bathroom looked fine. With the lights off, and this black light on, it looked like I would need to hire hazmat cleaners! Lets just say, this black light is a 10! The flash light itself is also nice from a cosmetic point of view. Its made of metal, very nice and solid - nothing cheap about its appearance or feel. I'm really happy I picked this one, and I have no hesitation at all recommending it.
