Strathmore 400 Series Drawing, Paper, Medium, 9x12

Very handy small version for the pocket. Good for sketching when out.

I was looking for a reasonably priced, small, simple sketchpad with good quality NON white paper and this fitted the bill perfectly. I use other Strathmore papers, which are excellent, and this is no different. Takes a variety of media - pencil, pastel, ink and a light wash. Lovely to be able to use white pencil on it. I bought the 6"x4" to go in a zip up case to encourage me to sketch outside more. Great price too.

I have been using this paper for agesss and I love it. When you later your crayons they are smooth and not really grainy. The overall drawing appears smooth and the paper is nice to work with. Love it

I'm still searching for a cartridge/watercolour paper that is near as white as Bristol Board. Unfortunately the Strathmore doesn't fit that bill. There are too many other papers similar or better (for my needs) than the Strathmore, Seawhite Cartridge, Daler Rowney Fine Grain Drawing paper are two that springs to mind.
