iHome Alexa Compatible Bedside Clock, Amazon Dot Docking Station & Bluetooth Speaker, Black

I have bought two of these (for different rooms) and generally speaking they do everything they are supposed to and the sound quality is very good.However occasionally you hear a quiet 'hum' coming from the speaker, at which point it is absolutely imperative that you disconnect and reconnect the power supply before asking Alexa a question. If you don't, she bellows at you like an angry Dalek (i.e. full volume and high distortion!). It's the same problem with both units (and it's not enough to just disconnect the Echo Dot, it needs the power removing from the iHome unit) so it must be some common glitch with these. It's not a major problem as it only happens every couple of weeks - but it's enough to knock it down from five stars to four.

This product has been a complete waste of money. I bought it under the impression that I’d be able to read the clock at night time without my glasses on, but you really can’t (not even with the clocks backlight on full.)It hasn’t enhanced the dots speaker sound very much, and yet this morning, I woke up to what sounded like a very loud lorry coming through my bedroom. The noise turned out to be coming from the speaker !Unable to put up with the loud rumbling (and unsure if it was safe to continue using it) I’ve now unplugged it and banished it from my bedroom.Such a waste of money !

It didn’t fit my echo.because I’ve got the latest version was slightly too big but never mind it sits there and the clock works fine

Not what I expected, basically just a clock, which an Alexa sits inside.

Terrible product. Sound quality was barely any better than the echo dot and so you only really add a clock which isn’t worth it.Had tried the larger version in a hotel room in America which seemed to work well. Thought this might be a newer version. It certainly wasn’t as good.

Alexa dot fits snug inside and looks cool as well as being a practical docking station. I love it.

My son loves this he is 16 and was very pleased with the song and the alarm feature.
