I love this varnish. My husband had carved a Dougal as a gift. I painted the face with acrylic paint and we left the body plain wood. So I needed a varnish to seal the paint and protect the wood. This worked brilliantly. It’s easy to apply…I used a brush and sponge for different areas. It flows out lovely and dried really quickly…about 30 minutes. I applied 3 coats across a couple of days but could have got it done quicker. I got a lovely tactile gloss finish. I’d definitely use this for other projects. It goes a long way so quite economical.

Does what it says and more. Used this more my diy coaster project, does fantastic job. Also had a roof leak situation. Before the roofer can schedule a visit to fix the outside tile, I put a layer of the varnish to the ceiling inside to stop stain from showing. It initially made color more saturated, then I painted over with emulsion paint. So far, stain hadn’t gotten worse just from viewing. Great for temporary fix in an unusual way ;)

This is my go to varnish for decoupage. The item becomes highly heat resistant and water resistant. Wonderful for decoupaged slate coasters.

Brilliant product, really pleased with the finish. Easy to apply, no smell and really enhanced my floorboards.

I HAVE TRIED OTHER VARNISHES , BUT ALWAYS COME BACK TO POLYVINE.

I'd previously used various varnishes for a restaurant table but they ended up getting sticky or scratched easily. With sanitisation products triggering a reaction with normal varnishes by ronseal etc my tables became unusable. Tried this and omg - not only easy to apply and quick drying but it actually works. Excellent coverage, doesn't go sticky under heat or chemicals.

Prefect for sealing decoupage

Perfect finish like glass and totally heat resistant. Using in for tdecouoagr tile coasters and it's worth the price. The truth it to use it liberally rather than sparingly. As if you apply less the brush marks remain like lines.
