Effective product with easy set up. Seen the difference.

Ok, early days one month in. I’m in a hard water area and a bit ocd, cleaning regularly in well used house. I noticed scale build up each week on taps and shower screen, I was buying descale products to eradicate it. Researched and bought 6 magnets. Placed on rising main and boiler input plus a number of hot and cold taps.Results are that 1 month in shower screen no longer has mottled effect and scale not present on taps.This product does not stop scale build up or remove scale that’s already present. It REDUCES further deposits and makes the scale (Dusty like) much easier to wipe off. The kettle seems to have less deposits but I only cleaned the inside of that two or three times per year, so need to wait a while.Don’t buy these if you have unrealistic expectations, these seem to have done what I hoped they would do but these are not water softeners. If you want that then buy a chemical water softener, they work well but cost a lot.2 years in. These continue to keep my house clear of excessive limescale buildup. I am very happy with their performance, glass shower panel no longer has gritty deposits, taps no longer have green deposits building up. My ocd has been eased😊 I expect many years use from these products.

Not a frequent reviewer, but since there is a lot of doubt about the mechanism and the theory behind how it works, I have to say that I have seen measurable improvement. I put four pairs under the kitchen sink and the result is a good 70% to 80% reduction in limescale. Maybe the area is important, as the water composition will differ from city to city. I live in Ealing, London. My view is that it is worth trying, given the non invasive installation and the low cost.

I haven't noticed any difference despite order twice with the thought that if one set worked then 2 sets would work far better. We are in a really hard water area. The magnets have now been on for 5 weeks and there is no difference that can be seen in kitchen or bathroom areas.

GOOGLE IT DOES NOT WORK Magnetic water treatment (also known as anti-scale magnetic treatment or AMT) is a method of supposedly reducing the effects of hard water by passing it through a magnetic field as a non-chemical alternative to water softening. Magnetic water treatment is regarded as unproven and unscientific.

These devices DO NOT soften water – they should be referred to as WATER CONDITIONERS. I live in a hard-water area and experience the issues associated with hard water e.g. brown scale deposits in toilet bowl, hard limescale deposits in kettles etc.These devices change the characteristics of limescale deposits so they become more like a powder and are easily washed away. However, in some hard-water areas they make little difference – it all depends on the water chemistry. Note: I live in the Bournemouth & Poole area and my water supplier is Wessex Water.I am writing this review several months after installing these devices and I am pleased with the results. The kettle is much easier to clean and most surprisingly existing limescale deposits on a chrome-topped sink plug have gradually disappeared. There also seems to be no build up of scale in toilet cisterns which were cleared prior to installing theses devices (Note: a job that had to be undertaken at least once a year.)

I was sceptical as the research I did was inconclusive regarding the validity of the scientific explanation. These magnets don't softener the water i.e. they don't alter the chemical composition of the water. They polarise the charged mineral ions so that they are less prone to forming scale for a short period of time. This period of time is sufficient for stored water to pass through the system and be replaced by new, magnetically-conditioned water. It is difficult to accurately assess their efficacy as the hardness remains the same after installation. However, I have definitely noticed an increase in lather when using soap. They are a useful non-invasive product that provides some benefit.

I live in a very hard water area. The package was delivered by post within 2 days of ordering. I've fitted 3 prs to the incoming main by the stop tap, 1 pr on the cw pipe to utility room and washing machine, 1 pr on the cw pipe to kitchen sink and dishwasher, and 1 pr on the cw pipe to hw cylinder. So in effect the dishwasher, washing machine and hw cylinder are each protected by 4 magnets.After fitting the magnets I noticed an immediate improvement to the water flow particularly in the shower and filling of wc cisterns. It has now been 3 months since the magnets were fitted and I no longer use laundry tablets in the washing machine, or salt in the dishwasher (other than that in the dishwasher tablets bought from supermarket), the limescale in the toilet pans has disappeared, as has the scale around the taps and plugholes, the shower screens are clear of scale, and the water flow throughout the house has improved dramatically, and the temperature of the hot water has increased and the re-heat time seems to be faster. Even the cars shine once washed ! I know that it could take 6 months to descale the house but so far the results here are fantastic. I can fully recommend this product
