Neat ideas Magnetic Water Conditioner, Active 3000 (670)- Reduces Limescale build up, cleans pipes

only had one for 4 days . easy to fit on the main pipe noticed an immediate change in the tap water it is odourless and tastes lovely ( it always smelled like a wet dog to me and tasted like one ! ) limescale has already started to disappear from the toilet cisterns and no more stains on the chrome taps . the water actually feels different . it's MAGIC ! i have already bought another for the hot water tank inlet but i don't think it needs it now ! Update, a friend and my daughter have bought one and they also have noticed a difference in the taste and amount of Limescale. 6 months on still good.

A plumber told us the complexities of fitting a chemical water softener - separate piping for drinking water etc, so we thought we would try this as if it did nothing at least we would have some powerful magnets for the grandchildren to play with. Water companies publish on-line the composition of the water - ours is from Strensham (Severn-Trent Water) and isn't particularly hard, but we do get some scale. I suspect that the effectiveness of these magnets depends on the composition of the water, so that may be why some people report good results and others don't. We have put magnets on the pipes to the hot water and cold water feeds from the stop cock and they do seem to do something. We do stil get residue spots, but they are much easier to wipe off. Before it was necessary to wet the spots and polish, now a quick wipe with a soft cloth removes them. Really noticeable when washing the car or cleaning the shower screen. So we are pleased with our purchase, very easy to fit and has helped reduce spotting.

I had an electric conditioner for 16 years, it has just stopped working. On looking for another I saw the Active 3000 advertised, read the reports and bought 2. It's now been fitted 3 weeks and working equal to the electric conditioner. You should never expect immediate results, it takes time to notice. Taps that are heavy lime scaled take a while to clear but they do without any dismantling. I bought one for a friend who lives in a heavy scale area, in the 3 weeks he's used his he's started to notice a difference. They don't soften the water, just keen your water system clear and clean of scale, for a few quid don't expect miracles.

im not completely sure that this really works or works as good as i was expecting.... i have noticed a "slight" difference when using the water in my steam mop. iv read that for best result to put 2/3 per pipe, so maybe that would give the results i was hoping for with this. id like to see real evidence tho of proof this works to soften the water that comes out of the tap rather than just some how stop as much limescale sticking to the inside of the pipe.... - as many people in the know on line say these dont work other than to reduce the limescale sticking in the pipe. could it just be a placebo effect? i like to think it does work, but who knows for sure? i like this but i dont think id buy any more.

Does not do what the seller promises. I purchased 4, placed them in different parts of the pipes, and after 2 months, there is no improvement at all. Don't buy this fraud.

Made a difference to our water

It kind of works. I have it on the hot water supply just before my kitchen tap. (Not on the cold, although I shall get one.) I still get limescale deposits on my stainless steel sink but they can now, mainly, be removed using a non-scratch scourer. Previously I had to use a limescale remover spray. The deposits are different in appearance. Before only the outline of the water splash showed as a deposit. Now the whole area of the splash shows. In some ways this is worse than before as obviously more of my sink is covered with deposit. However, the advantage is a quick wipe and the deposit has gone. My advice is that at this price it is worth a try. If you do not like the result: remove it. (Note: I should have the magnet on the incoming water supply but that is difficult to get to, although I might try it when my son is available to help.)

I bought a couple of these magnets four months ago and they've really done the business in our house. We live in a hard water area and have always had problems with our kitchen sink tap that uses ceramic cartridges regularly dripping due to calcium build up and the only way around it was by removing and cleaning the cartridges and eventually replacing them more frequently than normal. We also had to descale our kettle every couple of weeks because it furred up so quickly. We first noticed that our tap water and hot drinks tasted much better and then that the kettle wasn't scaling up anywhere near as fast. It's now lasting about 8 weeks instead of two and (fingers crossed ) I've not had to maintain the kitchen tap once since I fitted them. One final thing that we've since noticed is that the wash hand basin taps and our two shower control knobs now turn much easier than they used to although it took 2-3 months before we started to notice this. I was so impressed that I decided to buy four more and fitted one on the washing machine water feed and in other recommended areas. I don't know if more magnets will add to the overall protection but I decided they couldn't do any harm. I note reading the reviews that they haven't worked for everybody but in our case they've really exceeded our expectations.

He esperado algo para comentar este producto, pues quería asegurarme que daba resultado. En mi caso concreto lo compre, con dudas, por el picor de piernas que tenía al salir de la ducha. Incluso me sangraban tras el rascado. Fue colocar 1 unidades del active 3000 en la tubería de entrada de la vivienda , y dos en las tuberías de la caldera de las placas solares y el picor se fue. No puedo comentar resultados en la formación de cal en tuberías todavía. Veremos el año que viene en la revisión del agua caliente. El agua me sabía bien antes de colocar el producto por lo que no he notado ningun cambio ni a mejor ni a peor. Ahora estoy convencido que estos imanes son efectivos. Quizas pueda haber casos en los que no funcionen pues necesiten mas potencia o la cantidad de calcio disuelta sea muy alta. A mi al menos me ha funcionado.

Diese Magnete zu funktionieren scheint. Ich kaufte sie denken, sie könnte nicht funktionieren, aber ich bereit, das Risiko mit meinem Geld zu nehmen war. Aber ich tatsächlich glaube, sie arbeiten. Es gibt keine Kalkablagerungen in den Wasserhahn Luftmischer Filter auch nach drei Monaten. Normalerweise beginnen sie, nach einem Monat gesperrt, so etwas Positives passiert zu werden. In der Wasserkocher, bekomme ich immer noch Maßstab, aber es ist viel leichter zu entfernen als vorher.

Verwacht er niet veel van, maar….. Water ‘voelt’ toch echt zachter aan, ja dat kan verbeelding zijn, Sinds ik ze gebruik de rubberen douchekop gewoon niet meer ‘ontkalkt’, Je weet wel water spuit alle kanten op en even flink met de vingers over de rubber pikkies om het weer ok te krijgen, Niet meer nodig geweest dus. Ik gebruik er 2 in de meterkast op waterleiding.

Lo cierto es que hay poca diferencia desde que lo instale,pero algo si que se nota. La cal no es tan dura como antes.
