I had a bare area on my head due to tricliomania, pulling my hair out. The area had small scarring. I used some of the surrounding hair, like a comb over, and the nanogen which disquised the problem quite well. If you sprinkle on bare skin and your scalp sweats it can look patchy. It's trial and error, but it's a product I wouldn't be without now.

does this cover grey hair?

It covers lighter shade of hair - I have dark brown hair and it covers the hair which are lighter shade - making it all even colour

Does this come off on pillows?

Im not sure how people are saying this doesn't come off on pillows unless you go and wash your hair before bed. Yes it comes off on pillows, and it makes a right mess, but its one of the down sides of using this product.
