Nanogen Hair Fibres Dark Brown, Root Touch Up, 30g

I have tried a lot of different brands, there are some great ones and some just waste of money ones but for me Nanogen is absolutely the best and i've only just started using it as I was using two other brands that are also in my opinion great. So what makes these better than Boldify or Toppik (Both excellent choices) the fibers fall better, sounds silly but they actually recreate hair that looks realistic and dont over cover your head. The colour match again looks like hair and doesnt over fill areas and the mess around the bathroom is less but still present. Ive also found this product holds better with a sea salt spray, and again ive tried many different ones. This combination also lets you take tops off or tweak your hair without creating obvious patches like some other brands do. Would recommend.

I've been using this product for quite some time, and I've found it to be highly effective. It's simple to use (the fibres are sprinkled onto your head, in much the same way as you talcum powder), and - once you've got the hang of it - takes less than 5 minutes to apply. Once on, the fibres will stay in place for the rest of the day. I do suggest that, should it be a breezy day, you also use a little hair spray - to help hold the fibres in place. This really does create the appearance of having thicker hair. In fact, this can completely conceal very thinning hair. It won't work if you're completely bald, as it requires you having some hair for the fibres to cling to. These fibres don't 'sit' on your scalp - rather, they rest on your existing hair and make it look like you've got a much thicker head of hair. I have "ginger" hair - and I use the auburn fibres. They're a perfect colour match. If you're not happy about having thinning hair, and you prefer the appearance of having a thicker head-full of hair, then I recommend you try this product. The larger 30g item is adequate for a month - although if your hair is very thin, you'll likely need to use twice as much to create the appearance you're after. The negatives are: (1) these fibres are not water proof, so it rains then you'll need to quickly put a hat on; (2) the fibres almost completely fall off while you're in bed - so they'll need to be applied every day, first thing. And you'll need to clean your pillow case more regularly; (3) in one respect, these fibres are TOO good. Once applied, you'll forget about your thinning hair. The results are great. But when you step out of the shower, you'll find yourself reminded of how thin your hair is! As such, you can easily come to rely on these - and that's not a good thing. Overall, an impressive product. Note: to successfully apply these fibres, you'll need two mirrors - one to look into, and another to see the back of your head.

Bought this for my brother as his hair is thinning around the crown and he wanted something to make it look a bit fuller without it being obvious. The colour matches his hair really well and blended fairly easily. It covered the thinner patches straight away and made his hair look thicker without looking fake. You do have to be careful with how much you use because too much can sit heavy and look a bit dusty, so less is definitely better. Once he worked out the right amount, it looked really natural and stayed in place all day. He’s mainly been using it when going out and he tells me it’s made a noticeable difference to how he feels about his hair, he feels more confident. 4 stars because it takes a bit of trial and error to get it right, but once you do, it works well.

This works really well. Can’t recommend highly enough. I’m so happy with results and the appearance. It’s easy to use and has made quite a difference to my thinning hair at the front and has boosted my confidence. Will definitely buy again.

It works (kind of). I'll keep this short: Pros - Genuinely does 'create' hair where it previously looked like there was none. - Doesn't look too artificial in some lights. Not THAT easy to notice that it's fake. - With the use of hairspray product will stay in place for maybe 8 hours indoors when affixed with hairspray. Cons - MUST be affixed in place with hairspray. This means no matter how you used to style your hair (or not) you are now commited to having a hairstyle that is affixed in place with hairspray. - This also means your entire head is now a rock hard helmet of hair and microfibres. - YOU CAN'T TOUCH after application. Don't listen to other reviews you cannot adjust your hair in any way. The product will immediately clump into gross balls of fibres and you'll need to shampoo out and start again. - Looks artificial in some light. The 'new' hair can look metallic and shiny compared to existing hair. - Slightly awkward to apply. I would recommend getting someone to help if your bald spot is at the crown. Difficult to work in 2 mirrors at the same time! - YOUR HEAD IS NOW ALLERGIC TO RAIN. In Britain. Think about that. Overall I do like Nanogen Fibres the immediate WOW effect is worth buying this product once for. However I simply cannot imagine using this more than every once in a while for special occasions. PS - Everyone WILL NOTICE that this is fake hair. Don't kid yourself!

I can’t believe I’ve being using this stuff for 2 years, tolerating the fact that it doesn’t adhere to the hair. I assumed this it was normal for powders such as this to cover every horizontal surface in the bathroom, as well as my shoulders, pillows, headboards, etc., even after applying hairspray. It was out of stock recently, so I order the Toppik version as a backup. It is a totally different product. It actually sticks to the hair, doesn’t disburse all over the bathroom, hence it is lasting much longer, and I have seen no evidence of it falling out onto any surface that my hair touches. A total game changer even if it is a bit more expensive. Update: Since I’m no longer providing a secondary coating to my bathroom, my first container of Toppik lasted around 6 weeks, versus 3-4 weeks for this version, so it’s actually far better value, without the mess.

War angenehm überrascht, als ich dieses Produkt ausprobiert habe. Habe sehr lichtes Haar und kann es damit gut kaschieren.Kann es nur empfehlen.

Für kurze Anwendung sieht das Haar völliger, leider verfärbt Produkt ein wenig Hemd und Kissen in der Nacht. Trotzdem ein gutes Produkt.
