Total bargain. This unit has the features of units which usually cost £35 or more, in particular the addition of the sound sensor.It is 2 wire which means it wires straight into the switched wire and doesn't need a neutral which is a bonus for those without neutral wiring in their light switches.But this also means it gets its own power by letting a little current pass through the light being switched so is not suitable for loads less than 40W. I.E. It isn't suitable for single LED lights as they will flicker via the small current passing through.This is a standard limitation of products only needing a live wire. If your light has more than 1 bulb you can use one incandescent bulb with the rest being LED. (You can also get a load balancer to soak up the current without causing the LED bulbs to flicker but they are relatively expensive around £35.)It is also highly configurable. We have it configured to detect a 1m range (which is the lowest range it will go down to) around a breakfast bar so the lights above it come on when anyone sits at it.One negative to note is that it requires a deep inset. Deeper than a standard back box mounted flush to wall level. Luckily our back box was already inset by a cm or so and it only just fits into that.The other thing is, although it screws in the same standard back box holes, the facia is smaller than a typical light switch so if replacing one, you may need to redecorate around it!

Great product. Very effective. But it doesn’t work with leds. There is a voltage leak, the led remains dimly lit. I had to purchase some old halogen bulbs. Which are not easy to get hold of now. The issues with the LED, needs to be addressed. Once I used the low wattage halogen bulb, it works greatNo proper instructions on what to do if your using LED bulbsThe only other issue is that it needs a deep box

I liked the fact that it had a "off" switch.Installation was easy. Worked ok for a while then started being tempramentfule with on and off. Note works beat with halogen lights and needs a voltage constant adaptor if you want it to work with led.

Does exactly what it should do. Easy to install. Depth is usually a problem with these but not an issue.

Getting the wires to feed into the connector holes is a pain. I’m a retired electrician so I should know. This unit replace a similar unit which had eventually failed so I knew from this that you need a really deep box to house it.Even set on the lowest sensitivity setting it mysteriously turns my pantry light on and off for no discernible reason.I’m still unable to work out why. (Microphone is set to off, lux setting low)

It is much better than my previous switch which has only lux and time adjustment. It has 4 knobs to adjust for your like. I would recommend it. It needs deeper box in the wall to accommodate it.I amended to 2 stars. Beacuse it caused LEDs to flicker and fail early. I changed to another switch which had less adjustment but LEDs bulbs are fine now.

This fitted straight into my light switch socket. The instructions are very clear and pretty straightforward to setup yourself. Very happy

Mounting it is not straightforward so far as I can see. Firstly you need a deep box, at least 47mm. If you then mount direct in it and then put the lid on it is very difficult to take the lid off again as you can't get to the side tabs to lever it. So I cut two little slots down the side of the mounting box to allow a small screwdriver in to release each side of the lid (the mounting box of course being mostly proud of the wall). The mounting box matches best if it has radiused inside corners. The one I found that fitted well and had well matching radiused corners was the Screwfix 47mm one part 4411D, cost under £2. I am assuming the box is not sunk at all or at least not flush with the wall.There is an alternative to this by building up the mounting surfaces in the box with washers glued in place so the device's flange is level with the front of the box allowing the lid to be removed as normal and incidentally giving more space for the internal wiring connections. It doesn't look so good though.How well does it work? Well I had one there for several years but it started going wrong. During those years walking into the laundry/boiler room was a joy if you were carrying things. If the light switched off you only had to stamp your foot or say boo for it to come on again. It is worth the installation hassle for the benefit it brings, I wish they made it a bit bigger to mount normally right across the front of the mounting box.

My load is just 10Watt, the lamp flickers when it was connected. When I read the description on the paper box, I understood.I hope it can work when the load fulfills the requirement. But the description should have included the important info. So I give 3 stars here. And I will return the item.

Genial, este interruptor por deteccion funciona genial. puedes graduar la sensibilidad de deteccion. el tiempo que dura la luz encendida, y lo mejor que tiene es que si le da la claridad del dia el sensor se desconecta y no activa la luz me encanta

Dit product lijkt gemaakt te zijn voor gloeilampen.Omdat de sensor met twee draden werkt laat hij een klein beetje stroom door om te kunnen functioneren.Hierdoor gaan lampen die weinig vermogen nodig hebben (zoals LED) flikkeren.
