Works may need to wait to see plant benefits
Used on my lawn , where water was pooling has been week and already seen an improvement in drainage and the grass has gone a nice healthier green Wear a mask when using and put down when you know you will have rain soon Don't mix with water , it makes a mess and will just leave lumps on your grass or soil

Just what the head gardener would have ordered for heavy clay soils
I am amazed at what this product can do for clay soils. The real treat has been the welcome return of so many birds and especially the two nesting pairs, that regularly feast on the huge fat worms that worked their way up, since the soil is now so lovely and open. I managed to hack back some lawn last year and so I'm dealing with a patch that's now about 10 ft x 4ft. I cannot believe how quickly this substance gets to work making the clay particles clump up. I bought this large bag (that's certainly heavy to move) for the second dressing on the flower bed, then the front and lastly the lawn. I would imagine the lawn might be a tad muddier during wet spells, after using this? but I've also got a feeling it will thereby reduce the moss build up I have to control every Spring? We'll have to wait and see, but I wish I'd used it years ago.

Time will Tell - But Seems to be working on heavy clay soil!
Our garden is heavy clay soil - we have tried everything to stop it bogging in the winter but we always fail miserably, which requires the grass to either be re turfed or re seeded every single spring - this has gone on for 12 years! Our garden becomes to muddy that we are just unable to use it over the winter months. We have had some very heavy rain recently and since putting half a bag of this gypsum down the grass has stayed green and alive and the clay has not bogged - no water pools! So far i am super pleased - lets see how we fair over the coming winter months! However first impressions are great!

agricultural british gypsum
Our garden was quite boggy, you couldn't walk on it for sinking and sliding about, I added loads of rotted manure and 3 tons of sharp sand, left it for about a yr now I'm trying the gypsum. I put the gypsum on our clay soil a few days ago, I think its working, im quite impatient in getting the garden sorted but it all takes time! In some parts its still quite sticky and heavy so will need to buy some more gypsum. We don't sink or slide about and in some parts its quite crumbly so yeh getting there! Its good that it doesn't alter the ph of the soil when you just need something to break the clay up and aid drainage plus it adds some nutrients for plant roots too when eventually we get to be able to plant some plants! ๐
