Wirquin 16300201 1/2-Inch 15 mm Jollyfill Brass Side Entry Inlet Float Valve - Multi-Colour

I was looking for an exact replacement to the previous fill valve which had years of limescale buildup and this one was perfect. No issues with fitting (DIY job) and still working well after several months use. Very good price and no need to call a plumber this time!

Good quality valve and been working fine, the brass threaded part is little longer than some so can be a bit tricky to fit.

Fitted in 5mins customer whet to make me a coffee when I got there, came back and was done and working better than before.

I bought this valve to cure a problem of noisy shut-off on a direct feed high pressure system. Previously, the pipes 'banged' when the old valve closed. Firstly, the Wirquin valve was too deep to fit my old cistern. I took a decision to cut 3/4 inch from the bottom of the fill tube - despite the fact that I knew this would invalidate the guarantee. So now I had to make it work. I use a dual flush system, mainly to save water where possible. When I first set the Wirquin up - and set the float height according to the instructions - the float simply didn't drop when I flushed on the economy setting. No problem on a full flush, but clearly the float level was far more critical than I thought. I set it again. The spiral plastic rod connecting the float to the top lever has a screw thread and with a screwdriver in the top slot you can very precisely set the float operating height. You also need to check that everything is lined up and perfectly vertical to ensure that nothing can interfere with the float dropping smoothly. Now it works - well most of the time. Just very occasionally the float still doesn't drop on a half-flush. But 95% of the time it does, and it will always drop on the next flush. In terms of quietness for fill and shut-off, this is now very good indeed. It closes with a quiet 'squeak' and no more pipe bangs. In terms of its delay in opening after a flush, I can't fault it. This at least means that the cistern has stopped flushing before the valve opens and so you don't pour fresh water into a cistern that is still emptying. Would I buy another one? Maybe I would, now that I know that I have to be very precise in the set up procedures.

This inlet valve was inexpensive to buy and easy to fit. I had it installed within 20 minutes (after having removed the old broken valve yesterday). It's well worth going through the instruction leaflet before fitting, as the method of adjusting the float level is not immediately obvious, although it's very straightforward as per the guide I did wonder about the sturdiness of the unit but actually it's quite adequate for the job it has to do. You'd have to be quite clumsy to do any damage to it.

Was a bit fiddly connecting water supply to it but once the flow adapter was adjusted correctly it worked perfectly, no leakage, quiet on filling, good build quality, value for money..reccomend

Cercavo un meccanismo a galleggiante con vaschetta secondaria perché la pressione del mio impianto (2 Atm), con i meccanismi normali, "taglia" il gommino di arresto in pochi mesi con conseguente sgocciolamento continuo, spreco d'acqua e necessità di interventi frequenti per sostituire il gommino o la membrana tagliati. Purtroppo, però, presso i rivenditori della mia zona non se ne trovano più; e mi pare che oggi anche su Amazon questo sia l'unico! L'ho acquistato anche se né la descrizione né la foto dell'annuncio sono molto esplicite, e ne sono molto soddisfatto: il meccanismo di chiusura è ampiamente regolabile, e come previsto opera solo per pochi secondi, quando il livello dell'acqua riempie la vaschetta secondaria. La rumorosità è minima e il riempimento è rapido, cose che solo questo tipo di soluzione offre. Nella mia foto lo si vede montato in una vetusta vaschetta di ceramica, ancora con il resto della meccanica d'origine (!). Le istruzioni per il montaggio sono molto chiare; peccato siano stampate in caratteri microscopici, come ormai è la norma...

Fonctionne bien, article correspondant à la commande, article livrer rapidement. Totalement satisfait, je recommande ce produit. Simple à monter, pour tout bricoleurs.

Il galleggiante e' stato utilizzato per sostituire un vecchio tipo catis per vaschetta WC esterna alta. Sul vecchio, avendo un attacco 3/8 era stata montata una riduzione da 1/2. Ho scelto questo modello perche presentava gia' la filettatura da mezzo pollice ma la grande sorpresa e' stata la possibilita' di poterlo ruotare rispetto al tubo di ingresso. Infatti il galleggiante presenta una ghiera che allentata permette di posizionare l'elemento di chiusura ed il galleggiante anche non in linea con l'ingresso. Deciso l'angolo, si restringe la ghiera ed il gioco e' fatto. Immagino questa funzionalita' possa essere utile per chi ha poco spazio in cassetta

J'ai commandé ce produit et j'ai fais un retour. C'est pas forcément un mauvais produit mais n'est pas compatible avec mon installation. J'avais pas fait attention lors de l'achat. Produit rembourser sans problème.

Acheté pour remplacer un modèle basique qui avait tendance à mal fonctionner à cause du calcaire et d'une position un peu inhabituelle, celui-ci est pire: se déforme quand on veut le tourner, le flotteur se bloque facilement, et pas spécialement silencieux... Bref, contexte un peu compliqué, mais n'a pas marché du tout pour moi.
