Worth the cost
Update: I now have 8 of these raised beds by Vego as of July 2025. My first Vego raised bed from 2022 is going strong and looks like new, even with mowing and weed whacking around it. Nothing damages these raised beds. Original review: Over the course of two years I've increased to 6 of these Vego Garden raised beds, a real upgrade from the wood bed and random pots I'd been growing vegetables in. The quality is excellent. The materials aren't flimsy and the beds are sturdy and maintain their shape when filled with dirt. Assembly is tedious, but not a complete deal breaker. The first time ever assembling one took awhile, but now it takes me a little over an hour of continuous work to assemble one completely. Speed of assembly greatly increased when Vego switched to a nut design that had the washer already attached to it, versus having to put a separate washer and nut on each bolt. I think assembly would be easier if I had some sort of ratcheting wrench or even a drill with a socket attachment to tighten everything. Since I don't, I use the tiny socket wrench enclosed with the parts kit, which is a tedious task. Each metal panel is wrapped on both sides with plastic that has to be removed, but once you get a corner pull started, the plastic rips off quickly. I've bought so many of these because they're sturdy and I really like the olive green color. I think it makes my garden area look planned and intentional, versus thrown together. The major drawback is cost. There are other cheaper alternatives offered here on Amazon--but I think quality varies greatly according to reviews. I guess I'd rather pay more for something I know will last a long time, claims to be made of food safe materials, and won't fall apart or rust-- especially since I'm growing edible items in the beds.

Vego garden 9 in 1 Kit
Well made, quality materials. Went together easily - all holes even aligned! Packed well in heavy cardboard, and both sides of each piece coated with plastic film to prevent from scratching. I purchased the 9 in 1, olive green - pretty color. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, if your lucky. This will last for years.

17” 9in1, 8x2
I have purchased four of the 17” 9 in 1, 8x2. They are time consuming to put together, so what I did was throughout the winter if I was watching tv start putting panels together and it just shaved a little time off once the weather was nice. The assembly is very user friendly and self explanatory, Once assembled and filled, they look very nice especially with the different color options. I want to see how the first full year goes. I plan to cover during winter But a little worried about the screws rusting up. I live on an acre and would love about 10 to 15 of them. I’d especially love to never have to build a new bed again! I’m hoping they last as long as the brand says! More updates over the year to follow. As of right now, I’m very happy. They are expensive but appear worth the price.

Built to Last — Premium Raised Garden Bed for Year‑Round Growing
I absolutely love these raised garden beds and have purchased multiple kits from this company. The quality is outstanding—made with durable, American‑made materials that are clearly built to last. The 17" height is perfect for climate‑controlled raised bed gardening, allowing for excellent drainage and healthier soil year‑round. These beds make gardening easier on your back and are ideal for growing both vegetables and flowers in any season. The metal construction feels solid and well‑designed, and knowing they’re rated to last 25+ years truly makes this a “buy once” investment. If you’re serious about gardening and want a long‑term solution, these beds are absolutely worth it.

Fast, convienient, and accessible garden beds, but needs more cross supports
Ordered two, 9 in 1 planter beds to fill a sunny, bare area of the backyard. They arrived very fast and well-packaged in HD carboard boxes. I like the flexibility of this kit that allows multiple configurations I chose the 8x2 to fit along an 18" retainer wall. Assembly is pretty straight forward, and much easier and safer if there are two sets of hands to do the work. Some tools are recommended, but let me say that it is HIGHLY recommended to get an impact or drill wrench with a 10mm nut socket to do the work; otherwise expect some carpel tunnel syndrome....and have some pain relievers and bandaids handy. Also, to avoid premature scratches, only remove the protective liner enough to expose the bolt holes. In fact, we left the peel on until ready to fill the beds to avoid damage from the klutz factor. There are very sharp edges/corners and instructions advise to wear gloves, and this is important, but some of the tasks require dexterity, and gloves will impair mobility. These are beautiful planter beds and appear to be thoughtfully designed with durable materials (like a livestock water trough!). However, in my opinion, the 8x2 configuration appeared weak in that only one cross support bar is included. Thus, the integrity of the sides seemed vulnerable to bowing with the internal pressure of the fill and irrigation water/rain. Therefore, before any compost soil was added, the tops were enhanced with "wire rope" in two additional locations. I used materials on hand that included eye bolts, 1/8"coated cable, and U bolts (see pics) and tighened just enough to keep shape. Turnbuckles would be a alternative choice, but it would be better if three stress bars were included in the package, or at least made available to purchase. Looking forward to harvesting a fall crop of vegetables from these raised beds that are also easy to access and maintain.
