Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect with these. But, if they’re meant to be used as shot cups – they tend to be impractical. Cute, but not practical. I actually got them for book photo props – and they won’t work for that. As far as their intended use? I always like to wash things like clothing, dishes, and bedding before use. Basically anything I can come into close and personal contact with. With a non-removeable bead chain – these are not too practical to wash before use, in addition their thin size makes it a bit impractical. As far as using them to drink from – the hole for the beads prevents filling these too full. If you’re wearing it to drink, I hope you have good coordination or there might be a mess. Taking the necklace off – the bead chain can get in the way. As cute as it is – it just doesn’t work for a shot glass. In fact, the product doesn’t work at all. And, paying almost $2 per necklace? Definitely not a good value.

This is a set of six "larger than life" shotgun shell shaped cups, roughly the volume of a typical shot glass. They are attached to a red beaded necklace so they can be worn around the neck. These glasses are made of a hard plastic with red and brass coloring just like a 12 gauge shell. The bottom of each glass says "12 ga" as red is the typical color of ammo in the 12 gauge platform. This is a hilarious gift for a gun lover, or for a hunting or country-themed party. Wearing the beads around the neck ensures that everyone always has their own shot glass with them when it's time to toast. These are well made, although the beads are a little bit smaller. I wish they were slightly bigger, but overall this is a great gift for anyone who enjoys shooting, partying, hunting, or just country life.

Being from southern Louisiana and having attended more than my fair share of parties, parades, and tailgating celebrations, I believe that I'm probably one of the most experienced persons when it comes to rating shot glasses and other drinking paraphernalia. These shot glasses are meant purely for fun and they definitely serve that purpose. They look very similar to a twelve gauge shotgun shell (but larger) and come on a red beaded necklace. There's a small hole in the top of the shot glass where the beads are connected. A standard US shot is 44 ml and these shot glasses are rated to hold 45 ml of whatever adult beverage you choose to put in them. In all honesty, after enough shots, you probably won't know nor care how much alcohol one of these things can hold, but if you want to amaze your excessively inebriated friends, throw out that shot size fact to blow their minds.

Not a bad item to have if you are going with a theme for your bar or entertaining. I could really go without the bead necklace. They are incredibly low quality and having a hole in the side of the shot glass is not really all that enticing. Overall look is your typical novelty stuff, not the best detail but recognizable. The shot glasses are a very lightweight plastic and the necklace is the same plastic or cheaper/lighter. Functional shot glasses, though kind of annoying having a necklace to work around when entertaining, I feel these are better as a novelty/decoration rather than a functional item I'd frequently use while entertaining.
