Does this use the kinect? i don't see that the new xbox comes with one. how do you play the game without one?

Just Dance 2023 does not use the Xbox Kinect. You'll need the Just Dance controller application on a mobile device in order to play. You'll also need an Xbox Wireless controller for menu navigation.

Do I need to buy wristbands for this?

A wristband is not require to enjoy Just Dance 2023. You will only need a smartphone to access the Just Dance Controller app that can be found on either the Apple or Google Play Store.

Does this work with XBOX X

If you are referring to the Xbox Series X, then yes it will work. However, if you are referring to the Xbox One X, it will not work for Xbox One consoles.
