Outdoor Stove Bushbox XL

I previously bought the bushbox and found it just not up to scratch. This one, is perfect. Small enough to pack away and with a full 25 square inch cooking surface. I found it very easy to light and it holds enough fuel to allow you time to cook. It may not be as fuel efficient as the wood gas stoves, but it is far more versatile. I have used it with my trangia burner and with wood. I can use any cooking pot or even toast bread on top. Five minutes to boil over half a litre of cold water. And it heats you while cooking. The bigger size allows you to feed it fuel while cooking, and the larger volume for fuel allows for a hotter flame which can burn for 5 minutes between refills. Have yet to try wood pellets. In short the perfect wood stove.

If you want the best wood stove then get this plus you can put a trangia meths burner also.

Please see my review of the extended grill plate. I couldn't speak more highly of Bushcraft Essentials products, and i hope the reviews show 5 stars for both items because i may have inadvertently put 4 for the stove. It's top marks from me!

Ich war sehr verunsichert ob ich mir die Bushbox Xl holen sollte . Vor allem der Preis schreckte mich schon etwas ab , aber ich habe mich dann doch dazu entschieden mir das Teil zu holen . Ob ich mir nun öfters Zündwürfel oder Spiritus holen muss was sich auch mit der Zeit summiert und irgendwann mehr kostet als die Bushbox oder ich lieber einmal etwas mehr ausgebe und dann schön die rumliegenden Äste nehmen kann. Und was soll ich sagen : einfach nur supi :) Habe die Bushbox gleich getestet mit einem Freund auf einer 3 tägigen Wandertour . Die Verarbeitung wirkt sehr wertig und nicht billig. Nur die Tasche für die Bushbox hätte man stabiler machen können und nicht einen einfachen weißen Baumwollsack. Naja das stört mich jetzt aber nicht wirklich . Habe sehr gut damit kochen können. Die Speisen wurden schnell warm und man kann die Bushbox gut als Wärmequelle nutzen . Das Material hat sich bei mir leicht verformt unten aber nur sehr leicht und wahrscheinlich auch deshalb weil ich sie sehr lange angefeuert habe ( halt auch als Wärmequelle benutzt ) . Es ist aber keine Einschränkung was die Funktion angeht festzustellen. Sie lässt sich zusammenfalten wie zum Zeitpunkt als sie noch unbenutzt war . Die Verbrennung ist echt enorm und es bleibt kein Holz mehr übrig nur weiße Asche :) Endlich bin ich nicht mehr auf Spiritus oder Zündwürfel angewiesen . Bushbox aufgestellt und kleine Äste gesucht fertig .

悩みましたが本当に買って良かった！ 普段から車に乗ってキャンプをするので重さは気になりませんでした(徒歩以外なら気にならない重さです) むしろ、コンパクトのため、車内のスペースが空き助かりました！ 燃焼効率も良く、なんといっても見た目がカッコイイため夢中で焚火をしちゃいましたw ステンレス製ですが、良い感じに無骨感が出る色付きになり、さらに愛着がわきました！

I love my bushbox XL But I'd STILL like to see an even BIGGER stove, made EXACT same way but have the firebox around 7 inch square or 7.5 inch. Obviously I LIKE big fires not just to cook on but to sit around & watch with a Tea in my hand !!!!

Works better than expected. Assembly is easy and straightforward. Compact in size but the weight is not insignificant. The gauge of steel is heavy duty enough to prevent a “raging” bonfire from warping the metal. Made this pot of coffee inside 20 min. Uses minimal fuel, and acts like a mini bonfire/rocket stove. The bag is not the good bag. The accessories are pricey, there will be extra shipping costs, and extended lead times on everything because no local US distribution. All in all I am very satisfied with the quality and performance of the product.
