If you want to sleep on a plane BUY THIS!!!!
As a frequent traveller, I have always struggled to find the perfect travel pillow that provides support and comfort during long-haul flights. However, The Trtl Travel Pillow has revolutionized my in-flight sleeping experience. Its innovative design and unique features have made it my go-to travel companion, significantly changing how I rest on planes. The Trtl Travel Pillow stands out from traditional U-shaped neck pillows with its thoughtful design. Instead of relying on bulky foam or inflatable cushions, the Trtl features a soft, fleece-wrapped, reinforced rib structure that supports the head and neck. This design provides a comfortable resting place without the bulkiness of traditional pillows, making it both compact and lightweight. The key to the Trtl Travel Pillow's success lies in its ability to provide excellent neck support. The internal structure conforms to the neck's natural curve and provides stability, preventing the head from nodding forward during sleep. The fleece covering adds a layer of comfort, eliminating the irritation and warmth of traditional neck pillows. One of the Trtl pillow's most notable features is its adjustability. The reinforced ribs can be easily positioned to the desired height and angle, allowing users to customize the support level based on their preferences. This adaptability makes the Trtl suitable for various body types and sleeping positions, a significant advantage over one-size-fits-all alternatives. Unlike traditional travel pillows that can be cumbersome, the Trtl Travel Pillow is incredibly portable. Its lightweight design and the ability to roll it up into a compact bundle make it easy to pack in carry-on luggage or attach to the outside of a backpack. The included travel bag keeps it clean and ready for use whenever needed. Having used the Trtl Travel Pillow on several long-haul flights, I can attest to its effectiveness in promoting restful sleep. The neck support helps prevent the dreaded "head bob" often accompanying in-flight napping, allowing for a more comfortable and uninterrupted rest. This has been a game-changer for me, especially on overnight flights. The Trtl Travel Pillow has genuinely changed the game regarding in-flight comfort. Its innovative design, customizable support, portability, and durability make it a top choice for travellers seeking a reliable solution for restful sleep on planes. While it may have a slightly higher price point than traditional travel pillows, the Trtl's benefits far outweigh the cost, making it a worthwhile investment for any avid traveller.

Comfortable and supportive
I bought a couple of options for a longhaul flight (London-Indonesia) and of the two the Trtl was a clear winner. I have quite a long neck and find most u-pillows offer little to no support and the ones that do push my neck away from the seat into a fairly unnatural position. When I used the Trtl for the second half of the flight I slept for a solid 5 hours without waking. This may have just been because I was more tired but as someone who generally has very little luck sleeping on flights it was a nice change. The slight curve in the chin support also means your head can't roll around. I was worried the material would get a little stuffy, but with the AC on planes I was grateful for the extra layer which feels like the same material the airline blankets are made from (even matched the colour on Emirates). It also packs relatively flat which meant I could slide it in and out of my carry-on easily. The only gripe I have would be with the support itself, which dug in slightly when put in certain areas. It would also be great if the middle was a little sturdier or possibly had a variable length as even as tight as I could get it, it flexed slightly too much and my neck was stretched more than I would have liked. Overall I would say this is probably the best travel pillow I've tried to date and I would definitely recommend giving it a go if traditional U-pillows don't work for you.

Recommend it
Tried this out for the first time for a nine hour flight last week - it's a neck pillow. So it's never going to be anywhere like a normal sleep, unlike the ads like to make you believe. But for a neck pillow it's definitely the least bad I have ever tried. I like the way it sits like a scarf, it's light and easier to attach to a backpack then a traditional neck pillow, and it does provide lots more support than a normal neck pillow. Before the trip, I tried it on just for watching TV at home and actually thought it was so comfy I kept it on for a while to doze a little. It looks a bit more stylish than a neck pillow too. I recommend it, though I think it's still very expensive for what is essentially a scarf and a piece of plastic.

Great product but shop around early for a good price.
I paid £59 for this which is incredibly expensive for what it is. However, it’s a good product and I would recommend it if you can get a good price somewhere online. It’s easy to use, folds up small, and does support your neck and head really well. I would give it 5 stars if it was cheaper, and was grateful for it on a recent long haul flight. There was an offer on the actual TRTL site but delivery was too slow for my upcoming trip.

Surprised and pleased.
I bought this for my wife as I knew she had issues sleeping on a plane, but she declined to use it. I wondered if I'd wasted my money as it was pretty expensive. However I tried it on the return flight and clocked up 7 hrs and 9 mins sleep (from my Garmin watch), compared to 0 hours on way out with regular inflatable pillows. I cannot deny that it works, so i'm buying another. I have never previously exceeded 5 hours in the 60 or so long haul flights I have made and 1 hours is otherwise a more likely average. Its asymmetric so that you can vary how you use it. Surprised and pleased.

That being said if it is used for purely sleeping purposes then it does work and is far superior to the standard neck pillows as
I tried this out on my recent 13 hour plane flight. Usually I would use a standard neck pillow that wraps around the neck and would say that a standard neck pillow is probably more suited to increase comfort over the course of the flight, for example you may be able to watch a movie wearing one. However this one is purely for sleeping. I doubt you would watch a movie with this on or read a book. That being said if it is used for purely sleeping purposes then it does work and is far superior to the standard neck pillows as it doesn't cause ones neck to bend down so much as the other pillows. The only downside I'd say is that you can only tilt your head to one side at a time and get support. If you want to change the tilt of your head to the other side you have to take off the scarf and readjust it. I'd also say that I did remove it at one point because it got a bit hot. But other than that it is a very good product to get some comfortable sleep and it does work!

Game changer
brought this after watching a youtube video on traveling hacks and honestly its been a complete game changer, used it on a variety of long distance trips, by plane and coach and could not be happier I have tried a variety of neck pillows in the past, from inflatable to memory foam types but could never get comfortable as i always felt like they held my head at an awkward angle and if i did mange to drop off my head would fall out of the pillow and wake me up. This is completely different the pillow gently supports your head using a sort of plastic contraption inside that makes u feel like your resting your head on someones shoulder as oppose to wearing a neck brace all the way round. The scarf feature is also useful for warmth and is quite soft, I like it, but its not a necessity and the pillow works just as well without 'strapping yourself in' as such. Also its easy to carry and can be strapped to handles of hand luggage to save space inside. My last flight was over 12hs from Shanghai to Munich and where i would normal mange a couple of hours sleep i got a good 7hs thanks to the pillow,so yeah im pretty pleased and will continue to use.

Questionable effectiveness. There are definitely better options available for some.
Just got back from a holiday and used this. First time I tried it on it felt very comfortable and I couldn't feel any of the plastic support at all. Not so when you're actually nodding off and trying to use it. I put it on EXACTLY AS INSTRUCTED and not only can I feel the plastic support structure through the padding, but the one-size-fits-all tongue you wrap around your neck is too long and doesn't have enough velcro for the excessive overlap if you have a thin neck (like all the models in the pictures for this product - I'd argue my neck is fatter, even) Take the product's advertising pictures. At the time of writing there are several pictures with different models; one of the models is a black lady and they've superimposed the pillow's frame onto the pillow she has around her neck to show how it works. If you wore the pillow as she has it on, with the frame orientated as shown, it would 100% just rotate and end up under your chin the moment it becomes load-bearing, and your head would flop down like a newborn baby and you'd wake up. I didn't get any sleep with his product but it is much better than nothing and better than some neck pillows out there. That said, the advertising for this product is 100% BOGUS - how can 9 out of 10 agree that it's good when not even 9 out of 10 reviews for this product are positive? Obviously a cherry-picked or lucky sample size. Also, "scientifically proven" was not followed up by anything - it's just a PR phrase. So, I don't want to completely trash it as it obviously works for some, but I also hope this isn't the best I can hope for from such a neck pillow as if so, I'll NEVER get any sleep on a flight. Also, for the price, I'm sure I could get a better option. I'll have to try out some others.

New favorite travel pillow
I’ve used the Trtl neck pillow on multiple trips now, and it’s easily become one of my favorite travel essentials. I love that it packs down small, so it doesn’t take up much room in my backpack, but still provides great support. No matter what seat I’m in on the plane, it helps me get comfortable enough to actually sleep. The fabric is also incredibly soft, which makes it even easier to relax and fall asleep during long flights. It’s one of those travel items I never leave home without anymore.
