PS04 Microphone Pop Filter Restock Deal

I had another pop filter that looked very similar to this one, but it had one critical flaw: the arm simply didn't stay put. It would only work if I had it hanging down from above. I picked this model because the arm was shorter (about 9" instead of 12"), and I figured that would bend less under its own weight. But the overall arm is much "tighter" anyway. So it stays where I put it. The clamp is very well built; see the photo I included. It's got a nice thick rubber sleeve on the fixed "v" side, and the moving part attached to the screw has a plastic part. So it's not going to scrape the paint off my mic stand, like the other one I had. Yay! As to sound quality, I'm using this with an MXL V67 large capsule condenser mic, which has a mesh pop guard as part of the mic shell. I placed this pop filter about 2 inches further away from the mic itself. As a total system, I get absolutely no pop or sibilant noises in the recording, even when I'm facing directly at the mic. Perfect! I'm very satisfied with this pop guard.

Clamped on easily and mostly works well. However the flex thing screws onto the mount and it can get loose. Sometimes it also doesn't want to bend so you have to play with in to get in the right location. I also found that just keeping my cheek lightly touching it makes sure I stay at a constant distance which makes for a constant volume. That may have improved recordings even more than the pop filter.

The Samson pop filter gets the job done for simple voiceover needs. My only complaint is that the "ring" assembly, which holds the nylon/fabric material, is not sealed or well-assembled. My item came split. However, Amazon was great and sent me a better item as a replacement. The gooseneck works kind of OK. You get what you paid for. I simply wanted to narrate over my short videos on YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels while minimizing the pops and s-sounds. I love the fact that the head of this filter is a decent bit smaller than many others out there. There’s still plenty to cover the mic without obstructing my ability to read copy. For my situation, it would be nice if the gooseneck were 2-3 inches longer, but I can make it work, which means it should work in most situations. Good value, would recommend.

Solid filter. Not the best quality out there, but also not near the price either. I needed something simple and small and won't break the bank and this fit the need perfectly to replace my old 10yrs old filter. Overall it feels great. I do wish the neck had less play and held position better, but with a little effort it isnt too hard to get where I want it. Not the best, but also good enough if you are on a budget.

Great Quality, and exceptional price. So, I bought this thinking it would be too short. It wasn't all all. It is designed for close proximity to the mic/ stand, which I like, and needed more than the longer version. The Neck/ Arm is sturdy enough for a few basic twist and turns, but it will not fulfill any ridiculous fantasies. The double mesh is nice, and removed my "plosives" right away, which is why you by one of these. The screw clap works fine, and the product looks pro. Samson makes quality products in my opinion, which comes from owning a few of their products over time.

The Samson PS04 Microphone Pop Filter ROCKS. It's awesome! Works great. Love that it easily attaches to my mic stand and bends in any direction I need it to bend. I've tested this out a number of times already while really trying to pop my "Ps" and spit out my "Ss." this baby catches it all. I use this with my Samson Go Mic and they work together great. Hoping to upgrade to the Samson G-Track or something similar one day and I'm sure this Pop Filter will work just fine with any mic I use.

My only complaint is that I wish the gooseneck was a little longer. It's not terribly short but for my set up a little more length would help. I've also felt stiffer, stronger goosenecks but it holds its position pretty well. As for preventing plosives. It works great.

Ich habe schon länger nach einem guten Popschutz für mein "Samson Meteor Mic" gesucht. Als ich auf dieses Produkt gestoßen bin, war ich jedoch erst skeptisch was den Preis anging, habe mich jedoch dann doch entschieden, den Popschutz zu kaufen und auszuprobieren. Enttäuscht wurde ich jedoch nicht: Er ist sehr stabil, hat ein gutes Material und klingt wirklich wunderbar. Eine Kaufempfehlung für jeden der auf der Suche nach einen richtig guten Popschutz ist!

J’utilise ce filtre anti-pop pour de la voix off avec un Shure sm58. J’en Suis très satisfait. Il est robuste, la fixation est efficace et le filtre joue son rôle. Je le conseille donc.

Looks and feels cheap, but it works ok.

Muy buen micrófono para cosas caseras como voz en off de videos. Funciona perfectamente bien (en Mac) con audio memos, garage band y iMovie. Lo que sí es muy importantes es conseguir un filtro pop o cualquier ráfaga de aliento la detecta y el audio será un desastre. Yo compré el filtro marca Samson y van bien juntos. En verdad hace la diferencia. Me hubiera encantado que trajera funda para cubrir el mic. ¡Ah! un pequeño detalle, cuando está apagado, el botón cambia de verde a rojo. No sé si son freaks como yo pero esto me desespera un poco y termino por desconectarlo para no ver el foquito rojo. 😂
