310 mm x 140 mm x 61 mm are the actual dimensions of this card.

When the power connector is plugged-in, the assembly is too tall for the cover. is there a "U-Turn" or 90-degree adapter that works with this card?

Check with CableMod and other third party manufacturers of the 12VHPWR cord- there's adapters out there.
