Lattafa Amethyst I like this scent a lot. To me it smells like equal parts dry incense-type woods and dry roses. Over time the roses slowly fade and the woods seem less dry. It's kind of dark and mysterious and it appeals to the goth girl in me. I can see this being nice on a man as well. On my skin it lasts half a work day, on my clothes it lasts around 24 hours. I think 2 sprays is the maximum I would wear because it can be kind of strong. The box it came in is a nice presentation like a gift. The bottle feels solid and heavy and looks nice on my shelf. The atomizer gives a good fine mist in the air. When I first received my bottle it was already leaking from where the atomizer collar attaches to the bottle. It would leak every time I sprayed until I had used enough that the liquid level lowered a bit. It doesn't seem to leak anymore, but the finish on the outside of the bottle is a little damaged from it. Also, this had to macerate for at least 3 months and continued changing slightly for over 6 months. The first spray was hideous - like gasoline, melting plastic, and rubber. It was a blind buy and I was heartbroken. But I was hopeful. I did one spray into the sink every few days and after a month I started to smell something perfume-like under the melting rubber stench. Over the next few months the terrible chemical smell faded away to reveal the scent I was hoping for. No regrets buying this. I used to wear it almost daily but then moved to a tropical climate so now I only wear it every month or so.

Lattafa is becoming one of my favorite brands. I love this perfume house and they have many fragrance and types. Well done and you can see they care about their products. Although this is a well thought of and reviewed fragrance, it's not my type or skin chemistry type. I do like the smell okay, just not wearing it. I had a feeling I would not like it before I placed my order so it wasn't a surprise. I do love how well it's put together and I do like most of the notes in this great fragrance. Many people give fragrances a bad review just because it's not their taste or type when it could be an excellent perfume. I try to be honest in my opinion. It didn't give me a headache like some have said. I do like the bottle. I'll end up giving away as a gift or something. Or may just keep it and wear from time to time. I don't hate it wearing it, it just doesn't jive with me, and a little harsh for my sensitive nose. Strong aromatics can be too much for me. This is on the lower side of being strong. I usually know if I will like something before I buy because I used to make perfume myself. I was 60/40 I wouldn't like it as much. It's like I like the scent, but it doesn't like me, if that makes sense.

The smell is great and long-lasting. But I would not say this is gender neutral. Definitely very masculine in my opinion. However, I do like the tobacco scent that's mixed in. Lol. If u like smelling like a handsome man, get this. If u like a more girly sweet perfume, grab something else. I let my sons wear this to my brother's wedding. This parfum is very strong. I bought another lattafa scent, and this one overpowers the other. I even mixed a little of this one, n alot of the other, inside a travel bottle. This smell this one the that's still lasting. I honestly think that other one is a counterfeit. This right here tho, is the real deal. And the box it comes with is beautiful. It's its own piece of beauty with a lovely scent.

I would say definitely for a man it’s more like a man product even though it’s a for either sex men or women, but definitely smell more like a man cologne than a woman perfume. If you ask me I end up, passing it on to a loved one of mine so yeah. And the smell definitely last long as well but I will definitely buy it again It smells amazing.

I like the scent overall, but the dry down has a bit of a burnt rubber smell to me. It’s still a nice, very manly fragrance, though. I think it really depends on personal preference. Some people will notice the burnt rubber note, and others probably won’t.

Great value. Decent clone to Initio Oud For Greatness. A bit harsh in the opening but the drydown gets better and better. Excellent projection and longevity as well. The presentation is impeccable.

En piel también tiene un rendimiento brutal, fácilmente más de 12 horas sin perder intensidad. El aroma es potente, oscuro, con ese toque oriental y misterioso que te envuelve desde el primer momento. Tiene carácter, no pasa desapercibido, y lo veo ideal para ocasiones especiales, cenas, eventos o simplemente cuando te apetece destacar. Eso sí, yo lo reservo para días frescos o temporadas más frías, porque con calor puede resultar demasiado intenso. En cuanto a la calidad-precio, es difícil encontrar algo que le compita. Huele a perfume de gama alta, con una estela duradera y una proyección muy generosa. Eso sí, no es para todo el mundo: si buscas algo suave o discreto, este no es el tuyo. En resumen: una bestia en duración, elegante y con mucha personalidad. Si te gusta el oud y los perfumes con presencia, este es una apuesta segura. Yo ya lo tengo como uno de mis imprescindibles.
