Love. It. Big.
I. Love. It.I takes a minute or two to cook gorgeous, crispy waffles. I did a lot of research before buying a waffle maker, as I specifically wanted one that made deep waffles (I wasn't too concerned about round or square). This one certainly fits the bill, with the waffles around 1" deep, evenly crispy, with deep waffles to soak up butter and syrup - my maple syrup bill has gone through the roof! The recipe makes about 5 waffles, so I make a 1-egg batch (half the recipe) and that lasts me for breakfasts over the weekend. I do reduce the amount of baking powder to around half that of the recipe - trust me on this. I've experimented a little with the flavourings, so sometimes add cinnamon to the batter, and occasionally replace some of the flour with 50g fine cornmeal. I haven't done savoury waffles, and have no interest in doing so.The main bit also rotates, so takes up a lot less space in the cupboard than I'd anticipated - really happy about that!I also took it to my family Christmas, and made a monster batch of batter. It is so quick that I was able to churn out waffles for everyone (five adults and two children), so there was no long wait and everyone had breakfast together - I was really happy with this, as I thought it would be a lot more waiting around to produce enough for everyone. There is no timer - you need to use judgement on when the waffles are ready. When I put the batter in, the green 'ready' light goes off. Generally, when it comes back on again, and has finished producing the majority of steam, then it is ready.Don't overfill - the waffles grow into monsters! Not too much of a hassle if that does happen, as it is easy to clean the outside (but wait until it is cool - don't try and wipe off wet batter!).Just wanted to write an update 5 years after buying this. STILL GOING STRONG!

A rotating Waffle making Waffle iron
We have had this a few months now and overall are quite please with this waffle iron. I will admit that the rotating bit was new to use, but we soon got used to it and now do not think about it, much.It has a non stick surface, although i do recommend using a non-stick spray to help since there are a lot of edges for cooked bits to get attached to.It is a very quick cooking waffle iron and we usually turn out a waffle in about 3 minutes, perhaps 4 depending on the thickness and type of waffle.I would not recommend the recipes in the leaflet, unless you are a fan of baking powder and a few minutes on the internet will get you recipes far, far better tasting and much easier to create.Overall this Waffle iron fulfilled my expectations and thus the 100%.A Sidenote : the first one we got either had a crack in it or developed a crack in the first few days, and we contacted the supplier who swapped the waffle iron out immediately with no fuss. The second waffle iron has been going a while now and made many many waffles with no problem.

Great waffle maker
We've had this waffle maker for a few weeks now, and so far we love it. The recipes that come with it are pretty good. We've tried the basic recipe, buttermilk waffles and chocolate chip waffles. The chocolate chip recipe is our favourite so far. The recipe uses beaten egg whites, so the waffles are light and fluffy. The only issue with the recipes is that none of them indicate how many waffles they will make! We found that the basic recipe makes 4, the buttermilk and chocolate chip waffle recipes make 5-6. It's also a bit of a guess how much mixture to use per waffle - if you use too much it leaks out.The waffle maker itself is easy to use. It only takes around 3 minutes to cook a waffle, and it's ready to make another straight away. We haven't had to spray oil on it, the waffles have come out easily so far. It can be a bit of a faff to clean though if the mix gets in any of the cracks or screw indents.

Waffle Breakfasts American Style!!!
Excellent Waffle Iron. I bought this after a recent trip the US when I was enjoying waffles for breakfast and wanted to try them at home. I liked the look of this waffle iron and like the fact you can turn it on it's side and fold the handle for storage. The iron takes about 2 minutes to heat up and with a quick brush of oil you're ready to go. I also purchased some Belgian Waffle mix on amazon that took a few minutes to mix together and then poured the batter into the iron - cooked for 2-3 minutes on one side and then flipped to the other side for a further 2-3 minutes before lifting the handle to see a perfectly cooked waffle! It was non-stick so lifted easily out just using a butter knife and it was very easy to clean. Even if you accidentally add too much batter and it over flows there's a drip tray underneath and with a quick wipe once the iron has cooled down it's cleaned and ready to go again.I went for the red colour as I think it looks quite retro and looks nice on the kitchen worktop. Kids are loving weekend breakfast treats now. So quick and easy to use. Very happy and would certainly recommend!!

Good, cheap rotary waffle maker!
I wasn't going to buy this because I read the negative reviews saying how fragile this is first but thought I'd give it a punt anyway. I'm really glad I did. While it's not the most robust thing I've seen (let's face it, it's not going to match up to catering standards), it arrived fully intact and looks really nice. The handle is quite light to the touch and I can see that it might be easily broken, and the casing is plastic too, which I thought might be a bit of an issue but on using it, it's fine.Compared to my old sandwich maker that has swappable inserts, this is far superior. The unit heats up really quickly and a couple of sprays of cooking oil before use means it's easily cleaned.I followed a couple of recipes I've seen posted on the reviews here and filled the bottom to just level, closed the lid and turned it over, expecting some sort of flood but there was no mess and 4 minutes later I had some lovely, crispy and fluffy waffles.Time will tell how this goes but yes, it's plastic and is probably left to the adults to play with.

Excellent item, terrible service
The waffle maker itself is brilliant, bought as a gift for my mrs who has always fancied one. I spent ages comparing to try and find the best one and the features of this seemed to be ideal. The overall quality of it seems great so far, the red plastic casing does look and feel a bit cheaper than it looks in the pictures but tbh I expected that to be the case. The recipes in the book are good and the waffles themselves come out really nice. Make sure to oil it before use and clean it carefully after though. She is very happy with it and loves making her own both sweet and savoury ones and has experimenting with the recipes to make loads of variety in them too.The seller and delivery however was a nightmare. 4 days in a row I was told the delivery had failed at specific times however each time I was home, one of the days I was on the front doorstep fixing the door at the time they claimed that. They never attempted delivery at all. They then said they needed additional info to redeliver but I could not get through to anyone to find out what or why! Repeatedly messaged the seller who was less than helpful and had to go through Amazon to chase it up and force the seller to refund. In the end it turned up after cancelling the order anyway and due to me spending most of Christmas in hospital I hadn’t been able to get a replacement in time. So when I was discharged from hos we opened and had a look and the mrs liked it and wanted that one over any others. It turned up well over a week late, was ordered with plenty of time before Christmas, and it was near impossible to find out where the parcel was, what the problem was, if it was actually going to be delivered at all and to have them lie 4 days in a row saying they attempted delivery as well is very bad! Especially when the seller and customer service do nothing to help or look into it for you!Summary:Waffle maker is brilliant, recipes are good, seems a sturdy bit of kit but a little cheap on the plastic finish and not the easiest to clean.Seller, delivery and customer service were a nightmare and I won’t buy from them again.
