A hands-on, practical survival guide from retired Navy SEAL Clint Emerson—adapted for civilians from actual special forces operations—to eluding pursuers, evading capture, and surviving any dangerous situation. In today’s increasingly dangerous world, threats to your personal safety are everywhere. From acts of terror to mass shootings, and from the unseen (and sometimes virtual) matrix of everyday crime, danger is no longer confined to dark alleys or unstable regions. Potentially life-threatening circumstances can arise anywhere, anytime, and Clint Emerson—former Navy SEAL—wants you to be prepared. 100 Deadly Skills contains proven self-defense skills, evasion tactics, and immobilizing maneuvers—modified from the world of black ops—to help you take action in numerous “worst case” scenarios from escaping a locked trunk, to making an improvised Taser, to tricking facial recognition software. With easy-to-understand instructions and illustrations, Emerson outlines in detail many life-saving strategies and teaches you how to think and act like a member of the special forces. This complete course in survival teaches you how to prevent tracking, evade a kidnapping, elude an active shooter, rappel down the side of a building, immobilize a bad guy, protect yourself against cyber-criminals, and much more—all using low-tech to “no-tech” methods. Clear, detailed, and presented in an easy-to-understand and execute format, 100 Deadly Skills is an invaluable resource. Because let’s face it, when danger is imminent, you don’t have time for complicated instructions. Interesting but not likely to be useful unless your living like James Bond.
Good book it's interesting but it's a bit aimed at very unusual situations so not a lot of practical survival it's more how to stop your scuba mask from releasing bubbles (if your on a rebreather) How to make a newspaper into a weapon or copy a key etc. It's actually got a lot of info I think 99% nobody will ever use but there are nuggets of gold like turning a lighter into a time bomb & as I say it's interesting even if you never plan to use the majority of it. Although I think it's a must read for military & some reporters etc. I'm very happy with it.& it's modern it's got smart phones etc it's not an old ww2 manual.

100 deadly skills
Great value for money, this book has everything to keep you alive, well done to Clint, just the book I have been looking for, if any book will keep you alive this book will. Money well spent, full of fantastic information, this is definitely a prepper book you should not be without. It is written well, clear and concise. Easy to read, lots of illustrations easy to carry in your back pack. The topics covered you will not find in other prepper books, it's as the author says, apply the information responsibly and wisely. I will be sharing this book and recommending to other responsible people. Thank you for your knowledge shared and your service.

Not what it's cracked up to be in my opinion
This is okay, but the bits that are likely to useful to the ordinary person are just common sense, for instance, using concrete pillars, not flimsy items to take cover behind, if there is an attack on a shopping centre, run in a zig zag direction to be harder to hit. Much of the rest of the content is for want to be people playing at special forces, I mean why do ordinary UK people need to know how to cross land or sea borders without detection, or pick locks. How to make a home made tazer, some bits like that are highly illegal here and really should not be in a book for all the idiots to read. I learned virtually nothing from it that I didn't already know or have no use for. I think that the title and the fact that an ex seal has written it is probably why it sells. There is the odd useful bit of info for those with no common sense such as go for hotel rooms no higher than the second floor, so that exit in a fire are easier. Also what normal person needs to know how to clear their dive mask without the bubbles giving away their position! However don't let me put anyone off it's not exactly a fortune to make up your own mind.
