Advertised as new but evidently used
The item was advertised as being new, however when it was unboxed I instantly noticed evidence that it had already been used - patches of dried spit up, fluff, and hairs all over. The item still had the original Ergobaby tag attached, my guess is someone bought it, tried it or only used it for a short time before returning - shame Ergobaby didn't examine the product to assess its condition before putting it back into the supply chain for another customer (me) to be dissapointed by receiving a used product.I'm certain the product still functions as it should, but since I'm purchasing it for my newborn baby I really don't want to risk any germs, plus for the amount paid I expect a brand new product.

Perfect
I was a little hesitant to buy the product of Amazon so I contacted ErgoBaby and it was confirmed the seller "Peppermint London" who I purchased off via Amazon was a genuine authorised reseller of the brand ErgoBaby.Came the next day, no damage to the box perfect condition, the sling itself is great so glad I went for this one. Every facing option, feels very comfortable and secure on, bonus it comes with a pouch for keys/phone (iphone 6+ fits for a rough idea of the size with a little room left), cash/card and a dummy?Managed to get it on myself the first time fairly easy the manual is quite straight forward too. However I did struggle tightening the shoulder strap but I'm sure this will come in time and it will take some getting used to. I would highly reccomned this baby sling, no insert needed which is great if you find your baby gets warm easily. It's like they've taken all the ergo carriers and merged them in to one to make this perfect one. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable for baby, just not great for warm weather or eczema babies
I would be giving this carrier 4 stars, however the male clip of the side strap broke within a couple of months of use (I have been using it exactly as instructed, and only medium useage too so not even like I use it constantly). I think it’s a bit scary for a baby carrier to break so quickly, especially one so expensive, and one that’s supposed to be very high quality and safe to boot.I’m waiting for the company I bought from to contact Ergobaby about a replacement clip or whole carrier, but may contact them myself directly also if it takes any longer as it has been a few weeks already since I let them know.I will update here once the issue has been resolved. In the mean time, here is my honest review:It feels like a sturdy carrier (aside from the clip breaking after a few months of course). My baby really enjoys being in it which is more than I can say for other carriers I’ve tried. It can be a bit tricky to put on, and sometimes it just doesn’t feel quite right, but usually after a few minutes of adjusting and faffing you get into the swing of things. The lumbar support is OK - it’s not magical, you definitely still feel like you’ve got a baby strapped to you! I have fibromyalgia so I especially notice when a carrier doesn’t support properly etc and i will say, I do tend to get a bit of a sore lower back and shoulders after using this. But if you’ve got it adjusted correctly, the discomfort is minimal. I put my baby’s comfort over my own and he really does seem to enjoy being in the Ergobaby. We use it in cross-strap carry and I have only tried forward and parent facing so far, both of which went well. Adjusting it is relatively easy but you have to take baby out the carrier entirely and fiddle with buttons to switch positions. The straps are quite long which is why we only use it in cross position so far. But generally it works well. However there are a few huge regrets that I just couldn’t have foreseen without a few months of use with this carrier. My main gripe is that the material makes my baby very sweaty. He is generally quite a clammy baby who tends to be easily agitated due to severe infant eczema. This carrier flares his eczema very badly even if I have him in minimal clothing, because it makes him very hot. It also attracts a lot of fluff which agitates him further. And the fluff and dirt is also very noticeable in the black colour! Within a few minutes of use, it’s just covered in lint and I’m not exaggerating. Something about this fabric just sucks lint right to it. It’s a bit embarrassing when people ask when was the last time I washed or lint rolled the carrier (and trust me, people have asked), when I’ve only been using it for an hour! I dont have time to lint roll every few minutes! In addition to the lint issue, the black colour definitely makes for a bad choice when you are in sunny weather or climates, as it just absorbs all the heat. It’s not a bad carrier, my baby enjoys it for the most part and I’d say it’s been ok for me too. I just wish it hadn’t broken already. In hindsight, I really wish I had bought the cool mesh version in a light colour. If you are going to be using this in warmer weather or have a baby that gets warm or itchy easily, definitely look at other options.
