I typically get the small one that you have to mix at the beauty supply, is this the same thing?

No it’s not. The small one needs to be mixed with that liquid because the liquid is the activator. It needs an activator because it is a no-lye relaxer. The product featured here is a lye relaxer which has sodium hydroxide the scientific name for lye, as the active ingredient. If you like using that one you mix you should also use a chelating shampoo. No lye relaxers leave calcium deposits in the hair which hardens it and makes it unreceptive to conditioners with extended use. Chelating shampoos are the only things that life those mineral deposits, so that the hair doesn’t eventually become dry and brittle with no lye relaxers

Can you use any neutralizing shampoo with this?

I used the linange neutralizing shampoo with this and my hair was fine. I did end up switching to a different relaxer though, my hair was way too processed and the chemical smell was too much. The linange relaxer is much more gentle and doesn’t damage my hair

Can i use regular affirm shampoo & conditioner with affirm fiberguard relaxer

Regular shampoo doesn’t stop the relaxer from processing during the shampoo process. So, I would use the Normalizing Shampoo. You can use any type of conditioner.
