Surprisingly for the cost it does as described and the pins don’t fall out like other ones that I have had.

The pins are not always evenly arranged around the perimeter, similar to other contour gauges I have encountered in the market. A standout feature is its base with magnets for securing it to metal surfaces.

This thing is a piece of junk, all of the sliders stick giving the wrong measurements. Yes I made sure it was unlocked. Don't waste your money

If you’re buying this too makes accurate cuts, don’t bother.

For the money it's fine but on this model the longer tines and locking mechanism make the movement of the parts more difficult. I tried removing one but then it's a little bit sloppy. It's almost as if there is one too many but not quite. I suppose you could sand one or two thinner but that's more trouble than a $20 item is worth. It does the job, just not smoothly

Minus 1 start because of magnets on back. I prefer if it did not have magnets. But if they are attached make them strong enough to hold this to a metal object. A metal slider would be better as to to not wear out on the back. Plastic pins work great. You can always push the pins into place from the other side if you are concerned about marking the wall. The lock works great. Very happy with tool.

For the most part it's really good. There are one metal slide part on each side to keep/support the plastic ones. One side is very very stiff and difficult to slide. I can still use the rest just fine.

Was looking for a bigger than usual contour gauge, this is the best I could find within the budget. Works. Pretty stiff tho! Would only use on wood or hard surfaces. The end fins are metal, which barely move. They can stab into your hand when trying to reset the gauge. Not great design.
