My pond is only 500 liters & aside from a blanket weed problem earlier on in the year it has always been clear of algae. However, recently with the heatwave it has had an algae bloom & adding different solutions, regularly cleaning filter, adding more oxygenating plants, hasn’t worked. I set it up in a temporary position so it could get to work. Set up was easy once I asked google to show me, as the instructions were not good. It runs off my Easyclear Filter Pump now it’s worked I’m going to position nicely so it will run a waterfall too. Took about 5 days to see a vast improvement in the water clarity.

A larger unit that I had expected at this price point. Fantastic indicator for bulb activity and very easy set up. The release to change the bulb is very intuitive and easy to use. Easy set up and feels very well made. The brackets to fit to a fence or wall are solid and easy to use although I imagine the unit would function just as well without them. Would recommend, pins was clear in 3 days, pump is 2000litres per hour.

My 1000l pond was like pea soup due to a massive algae bloom, 3 days after installing the 11w UV steriliser my pond was clear again, easy setup and feels like a premium product, also i did add some microfiber cloths into my pond filter as a trial after installing the UV to help catch the algae and worked perfect.

I had an algae problem in my fish pond and was recommended a UV light steriliser to plumb in inline with the filter that I already had. This seemed to fit the bill and was good value for money compared with others available online. It was delivered promptly and on un-packing it is clearly high quality. There are not many parts to fit, you will need to cut the fittings to size for your hoses and secure them with hose clips. Otherwise the assembly is easy enough. Once up and running, it is simple to keep clean and you can just rinse it out as and when you clean the filter on your pond or tank.

We inherited a pond with some Koi Carp when we moved into a new house. The water was so murky and green and thick that you couldn't see more than an inch through it. We almost never saw the few fish that lived in it and it seemed like a waste of time having such beautiful and expensive fish if we couldn't even enjoy them. Sadly a few of the fish died, leaving just one and we decided to clear up the pond and then get some baby fish. I bought this UV filter a few months ago and finally got round to fitting it almost two weeks ago and although the instructions weren't that great, it was easy to put together and install. I like the fact that it has a see-through section and a little spinny-roundy thing so you can tell that the water is flowing through it. After a week I couldn't really see much of a difference but then a couple of days later I looked in the pond and found that I could see some of the pipework a good foot below the surface. This morning, 11 days after installation and I can clearly see the bottom of the pond and the last remaining fish (I've called him Derek - a joke lost on most people) having a good hearty morning workout. He likes to swim anti-clockwise round the pond, in case you're interested. So what I'm getting at is this: this UV filter is bloody brilliant. This was a pond which i'm told had been murky, green and thick with algae for years and in 11 days, its clear. My only gripe is that it didn't come with a fitted plug, which for a device designed to live outdoors is a bit short sighted I think. It wasn't a problem, I just bought a heavy duty plug from B&Q for a pound or two and fitted that, but it did seem odd that it came without. When we' get back from holiday, we're getting some baby Koi and having already used the Marillion joke, god knows what we're going to call the little buggers.

The item was good value for money and is working okay I’ve installed it to replace my old one or different make which I could no longer get bulbs for looking at the inspection window. I can see that the UV is on working.

Work like a dream . Very happy and will recommend it to others . Fish pond is clear and it works well .

Only gave 1 star as I couldn't leave 0, shocking company to deal with!! UV stopped working after approx two months, had to contact Amazon for return label, said faulty item returned 10 days ago, still no refund!!. Contacted seller who keeps messaging me saying it is out of its 30 day return window and take it up with Amazon, Amazon contacted again and reassured me they would be contacting the company and telling them to refund my money and to leave it until next Tuesday, if after then contact Amazon again. Copy of email sent to myself, rapid reply from company saying 'its outside the 30 day return window and take it up with Amazon' 🤬🤬. Unless you don't care about your fish and have time to go round in circles DON'T BUY!!!! They have the faulty UV back and MY MONEY
