Kitchen Craft 250 ml Measuring Jug, Glass, Transparent, 9 x 12 x 16 cm

I was after a small jug that had clearly marked indicators for fluid measurements so that I could measure my milk out for my morning porridge to my preferred consistency. This little jug ticks all those boxes unlike the plastic one I used to use, this one is sturdy and has clearly labelled measurements on it. The glass is thick and safe. It washes brilliantly. Is good value for money. I definitely recommend.

Lovely little measuring jug. It fits my 10 year old grand daughter’s hand very well and great for her to learn about baking/cooking. Bigger jugs are heavy for her to lift. Clear markings and very good quality.

I recently broke a Pyrex half pint jug that was originally my mothers and had been owned by our family for at least fifty years. I was amazed to find that none of the shops I visited had anything similar for sale. Fortunately, Google came to the rescue and I found these ones on the Amazon site. I ordered two using my one-click facility and they were delivered by first class post on the next working day. The jugs are perfect for what I need that size for, which is making sauces and gravy or reheating them. Someone, claimed in an earlier review that they aren't suitable for microwaves. This is completely erroneous, as they actually have the "Microwaveable" symbol on the label and indeed that is precisely the first use I put one of mine to. It DOES say "Not suitable for conventional oven use" so maybe the other reviewer misread the label? Just use common sense... allowing a fatty or sugary substance to boil in a microwave, whatever the container, might not be a good idea as their boiling point is much higher than water.

As expected with Pyrex, it’s a good quality jug with a good weight to it and with clear markings.

Hält, was er verspricht.Ich wollte einen kleinen, bruchsicheren, hübschen Messbecher für den täglichen Gebrauch (grobes Abmessen eines Verhältnisses 1:2), der nicht (wie Plastik) schnell vergammelt und nicht (wie das übliche Glas) über kurz oder lang kaputtgeht.Ich kann bestätigen, was schon mal kritisiert wurde, dass die Messung nicht besonders präzise ist. Das kann sie natürlich auch nicht sein, weil das Gefäß so breit ist und das Glas so dick ist, dass Skala je nachdem, von wo man guckt, eben optisch verrutscht. Das war mir aber vorher aufgrund der oben genannten Charakteristika schon klar. Wer also präzise Mengen abmessen will, damit das z.B. das Breichen immer exakt die gleiche Konsistenz hat, wäre mit einem höheren, schmaleren Messbecher vermutlich besser bedient.Beim Ausgießen muss man etwas aufpassen - wenn das Gefäß sehr voll ist, muss man erst mal langsamer gießen, sonst schlabbert es wegen des breiten Randes.Alles in allem habe ich genau das bekommen, was ich wollte.
