I bought this for my daughter‘s birthday back in September. She got a new iPad for her birthday and he’s always been into art so I wanted to get her one of the Apple pens but to be honest paying the price for one didn’t seem justified maybe for the amount of use that she was going to use it. I opted for a cheaper version of the pen one with half decent reviews and I have to say it’s worked perfectly fine. I don’t think there’s any difference in this pen or the Apple pen if I’m honest charging is nice and easy comes with a small little charging lead which can be charged from the iPad comes with easy to use instructions and some cool little extras on the side of the pens that we didn’t realise for taking screenshots and such. My daughter is 11 finds it very easy to use really likes it and I think it’s worth the money quite honestly even if it lasted a year for the money it really is worth it compared to the expense of an Apple pen would definitely definitely recommend recommend is compatible perfectly with the Apple iPads.

I wanted a second pencil to use with the 2014 iPad Air M2, and the A11 proved a good option. It can work with and without bluetooth connectivity, does all the basic pencil writing/editing, and feels and functions well. With bluetooth switched on, its button can be defined with three functions and can be defined to work with specific apps such as procreate. The limitations include only USBC charging, so magnetic attachment to iPad M2, and being a little thicker than pencil pro. The company advised that they have no plans to produce a pen similar to the pro because of confidentiality with the new apple design. The A11 does not work on bluetooth at the same time as the pencil pro, and it just stops working when the pro is connected. However, switching off bluetooth will allow A11 basic functionality but not anything defined with its button. You can forget the pro on bluetooth to allow A11 full functionality, or if the pro is not in the vicinity then A11 will just kick in as the pro will not connect. I also tested the A8 Air at the time, but returned it and kept the A11. The former does only the basic functionality as the A11 so no bluetooth connectivity, but allows a much longer battery life (20 hours vs 8). It is also a third lighter than the A11. Overall, The A11 is a good substitute to the pro at a lower cost (£16 in the sale when purchased). I would have been more encouraged to get the Apple USB pencil if the A11 price was the full £32.

I’m honestly so impressed with the MetaPen A11! It’s super easy to use straight out of the box, and the performance feels really smooth and responsive. It glides effortlessly across the screen, especially when paired with a paper-like screen protector, it genuinely gives that satisfying “real writing” feel. One thing I really appreciate is that it comes with replacement tips, which adds extra value and makes it feel like a long-term investment rather than something disposable. The build quality feels solid and well made, not cheap at all. For the price…it’s incredible. It does exactly what you need without having to spend loads on more expensive alternatives. I’ve been using it for note-taking, browsing, and general use, and it keeps up perfectly. If you’re looking for an affordable, reliable pen for your tablet/ipad that performs well and feels great to use, I would definitely recommend this one!

NEW - Update on Review:- "Metapen contacted regarding my purchase review a few days after I sent the A11 Pencil back. The Customer Service Rep was excellent in dealing with my complaint and she truly wanted to fix it. She dealt with and resolved the issue quickly and in a professional manner; she offered a replacement model of this Pencil which is the A8. I accepted the offer and received this the next day. The A8 is brilliant! It charges quickly and holds the charge extremely well. I have had no issues whatsoever and am a very happy customer, thanks to Metapen's excellent Customer Service... Everything is now perfect. Now I have a Pencil which works brilliantly in every way." It is such shame because it is a lovely design and lightweight but it is no good if it can't hold a charge. I will be sending this product back to Amazon as it won't charge properly. It charged when I first received it but since then, when it shows red, I connect it to charge; eventually the light changes to white so I assume it is charged. However, when I disconnect the pencil it turns to red again. Therefore it is useless.

Bough this stop working would not give any star it’s waste of money £20 gone in drain option can’t return very very disappointed would not recommend to anyone

This is a great little pen for a fraction of the price of the *fruit* pen. I like that it comes with extra tips too as they do obviously eventually ware down. I think it’s great quality for the price and is really light which was important to me. My only downside is the battery life isn’t the best

Bra penna! Lätt att parkoppla, bra batteritid och snabb laddning. Det enda den ”saknar” är att den inte har tryckkänsligheten men den infon visste jag om innan jag köpte den. Jag är jättenöjd med pennan

Es un lápiz súper bueno, económico y fácil de usar, lo recomiendo como alternativa al Apple Pencil original, tiene rechazo de palma y muestra la batería
