Very good product and very good value for money

These foam core or foam board sheets are perfect for crafting board game inserts, here are some of my tips to use them for this purpose. Just grab yourself a metal ruler (better if steel edged and with rubber or cork bottom) - I recommend the WEDO 50cm cutting ruler which has a nice steel side whilst being made of nicely rigid aluminium and with great rubberized bottom grips. Also get a self-healing cutting mat - an ANSIO craft A2 is what I got and it is great. Any utility knife (stanley knife) is great, I use a silverline 18mm one and I am happy, cost me nothing with plenty of replacement blades. In terms of cutting technique, for clean cuts I really recommend the single pass technique rather than the multi-pass I see many recommend online and on youtube... they are rubbish. Just start cutting holding the blade at 45° as if scouring the matt and well against the steel cutting edge of the ruler. If the blade (and it will) starts being less than sharp, just snap a section and it will produce again nicely clean cuts of paper sides and foam core. To glue it all together any PVA glue works perfectly fine... do not waste money on fancy glues. An additional tool which I may get, to make precise 90° cuts is a straight edge triangular ruler... but with some attention you can do without... and frankly, truly perfect 90° cuts are not necessary for board game inserts. Otherwise the sheets are packaged well, they are sturdy and good quality, no smell or anything... can be a bit dusty, so I recommend a good vacuum after use as some of the foam will crate a bit of particulate, but nothing tragic... just large dust and debris, not extreme fine dust.

Item is really good but what's lacking is the packaging. All of the cards inside the box had dented/damaged corners. Surely put a strong card in the corners to protect them.

This is a pack of ten A3 foam boards, coated on both sides, 5mm thick, and suitable for mounting artwork on for display and presentation. It's supplied in a good, solid box which is eminently reusable -- important, because it's actually quite hard to safely transport foam board. You can use this kind of stuff a few times before you have to chuck it away -- if you use repositionable spray glue then you'll be able to remove artwork fairly easily, but the corners and edges will gradually deteriorate as they get bashed against things. Even if you use permanent glue, you can still get a few uses out of them. All that said, it's fairly important that these are reasonably cheap to buy. One final tip. If you're gluing to one side of this, you need to glue the same stock to the other side, otherwise the glue on the one side will pull the board into a curve, which never looks very professional. Decent value, good product, recommended.

Eccellente. Leggero facilmente lavorabile e risponde a tutte le aspettative. Gli strati superficiali sono facilmente rimovibili, lasciando la superficie inferiore in foam perfettamente liscia, pulita e pronta da lavorare. Si presta a svariati usi, in primia gli elementi scenici per wargames, ma anche le costruzioni di plastici e modelli tridimensionali.

Ich baue mir aus diesem Material Inlays für Brettspiele und ähnliche Dinge. Es lässt sich sehr gut verarbeiten, ist äußerst stabil. Allerdings braucht man zum Schneiden einen wirklich scharfen Cutter, sonst reißt er am Schaumstoff. Ich benutze für jedes Projekt eine neue Klinge. Die A3-Größe ist nahezu perfekt, weil sie sich gut lagern lässt, aber dennoch ausreichend große Platten für nahezu alle Brettspielformate liefert. PS: Es gibt die Platten sowohl in weiß als auch in schwarz. Ich habe beides zu Hause, da es thematisch auch passen soll. Bei beiden stimmt die Qualität!

J'ai récemment acheté le "lot de 10 panneaux de mousse 5 mm au format A3" de la marque Cathedral Products pour faire des bricolages avec mes enfants, et je dois dire que j'en suis vraiment satisfait. Ces panneaux sont parfaits pour nos activités créatives. Leur épaisseur de 5 mm leur donne une bonne rigidité tout en restant légers, ce qui est idéal pour les petits projets manuels. La surface blanche est lisse et uniforme, ce qui rend le rendu visuel vraiment propre, surtout lorsqu’on y colle des éléments ou qu’on dessine directement dessus. Le format A3 est particulièrement pratique : il offre suffisamment d'espace pour créer des décorations, des cartes personnalisées ou des maquettes, tout en restant facile à manipuler et à découper. Justement, la découpe se fait sans problème avec un cutter ou un couteau bien aiguisé. On obtient des bords nets, ce qui est important pour obtenir un résultat soigné, même quand ce sont les enfants qui s’en chargent (sous surveillance, bien sûr). J'ai trouvé que ces panneaux adhèrent très bien aux colles classiques, ce qui facilite énormément les travaux manuels. Pour le moment, nous les avons utilisés pour fabriquer des décors pour des projets scolaires, mais aussi pour créer des cadres photo personnalisés. Tout a très bien tenu, même après plusieurs manipulations. Le rapport qualité-prix est vraiment intéressant. Pour un lot de 10 panneaux, je trouve que le prix est très raisonnable, d'autant plus que la qualité est au rendez-vous. Si je devais pointer un petit défaut, ce serait leur fragilité sur les bords. Si on ne fait pas attention lors de la découpe ou du transport, ils peuvent légèrement s’abîmer. Un emballage un peu plus solide aurait été un vrai plus. En résumé, ces panneaux de mousse de Cathedral Products sont une excellente trouvaille pour nos bricolages en famille. Ils sont faciles à utiliser, polyvalents et suffisamment résistants pour la plupart des projets créatifs qu’on peut imaginer. Je les recommande sans hésiter à tous ceux qui aiment bricoler avec leurs enfants ou qui ont besoin de supports légers et pratiques pour leurs créations.
