Works very well
I have had various makes of manual wheel sharpeners including Minosharp & Kitchen devils. This is by far the best. I am concerned about the longevity of the wheels but after sharpening 8 different knives, including Global & Robert Welch, I am extremely impressed by how sharp they all are. On first use it is clear that the diamond abrasive is really working hard and it quickly grinds the edge back to remove a few years worth of damage. It is a bit expensive but since it really works well I believe it still represents the best value.

Best knife sharpening solution!
Easy to use, fool-proof, incredibly sharp blades. Keeps knives performing like new (or better) with virtually no effort. A real pleasure for anyone who likes preparing good food.

Overpriced? Possibly!
I soon acquired a fine cutting edge on one of my kitchen knives but am still working on the other. Why this is taking so long I am unsure and, likewise, unsure if it is the fault of the sharpener, me or the hardness of the steel used in the blade. On this I will reserve judgement. As for price, although very sturdy and solidly built, I do believe it is not competitively priced.

No fuss effective
A no fuss , simple but very effective sharpener. Restored brilliantly my very good kitchen knives which i had not taken care of for a few years.

Not to happy
I’ve just used thi for the first time and I put one of my zelite kitchen knives through it and it has actually lost a piece of the high carbon steel, so I have a ultra sharp part but also a part that I can’t soon t sharpen,? Hopefully a fault with the blade which I hope/think has a lifetime guarantee

Very good sharpener
We have had three sharpeners, including two expensive German made sharpeners, but this is the best i have used. I am sure an old fashioned leather razor strop or stone is best for sharpening, but for those who are as incompetent as i am with traditional methods, this is ideal. We have only used it on Henckels and wusthof (european) knives but it sharpens them enough to cut tomatoes and wet onions without having to stick the knife point in first and without slipping.

Sharpens well but scratched /damaged some good quality knives
I bought this item to use with a set of European 20 degree ice hardened Japanese steel kitchen knives. Unfortunately it flexes and creaks if the knife isnt exactly horizontal. Not the best build quality for what is a very expensive manual knife sharpener. I expected better for £65 but I could live with it if it works well. I set about sharpening my knives in slot 2. It sharpened them very well but after I had sharpened the knives i noticed scratches the full length of every knife on the left hand side. Not small scratches along the cutting edge of the knife which i could live with but scratches 1 cm wide. Very noticeable scratching. It sharpens very well but it has marked the blades in a good quality set of kitchen knives that cost around £300. I suspect i have a faulty item rather than it meant to be like that so its being returned. I would buy another to check as it sharpens so well. As a Sharpener, brilliant but build quality could be better.
