I haven't had occasion to put this product to the test yet for anything other than dragging a fallen tree top off a back road near my house (light-duty job), but in handling and looking at the product you can see and feel that it is well-made and heavy duty. I have no worries about this strap (I got the 4" x 30') letting me down when it's needed.I added a pair of 46,000 pound Rhino USA soft shackles, a pair of 42,000 pound Rhino USA steel d-ring shackles, and a 51,000 pound Factor 55 receiver hitchlink. (Those numbers are all the manufacturer's break-strength ratings). All were purchased here on Amazon.I didn't know or notice at the time that Gear America has most of these other items available as well, or I may have gotten a matched set of all one brand, but the items I got are all high quality and very heavy-duty.All of that stuff I listed fits in the storage bag that came with the Gear America strap, along with the strap of course, with room to spare. It stows out of the way in the factory storage bin built into the back corner of my Jeep Cherokee. I also have a 7/8" x 30', 28,000 pound Inclake kinetic tow rope, but that is the same size as all the other stuff put together. That rides in the other corner storage bin.If I or anyone else gets stuck while I'm around I've got the stuff to get em' out, baby! We have long winters in these parts and it's good to be prepared. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

One beast of a strap. And at a very good price.

Insanely strong i am more then satisfied with this strap I've used it many times now and still no damage to it . I will be putting this strap in all my tractors

Pulled many vehicles out of beaches with this, safe to use, durable, functions just as it should. Perfect size to throw in your camper or toolbox

We used it two times to pull our 34 ft disc out of the mud this spring with our 375 horsepower 8 wheel tractor. I was impressed and it worked great -- until the third time. The strap had two tractors hooked to it and we pulled the disc out one last time but the strap was frayed and unusable in the future (see picture). Although it is much lighter than a chain, a 3/8 inch chain is much more durable (yet a 3/8 inch grade 70 chain only has a 6,600 lb load limit). I'm not sure how the lab tested the strap to 41k lbs but they must not have used the standard ends of the strap. The middle may be able to handle that force, but the end of mine definitely did not.Update: Gear America reached out to me after this review and sent me a warranty replacement strap at no cost. Due to their great customer service, I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 4. It's refreshing to see an American company back up their product. Thanks!

This is a high-quality strap used it twice to winch out my 2012 jeep jk 4 door had some serious load on it no issues I am glad I went with this company will buy from again

Ok so this is preliminary to our pismo trip but we needed a new strap after our last trip so we purchased this one for the weight rating. I just received this strap and I am very impressed with the initial appearance of quality! I opened up the package and it is very heavy duty compared to some of the other tow straps that we have had. It also comes in a nice bag for easy and clean storage in the trailer. There was a business card which easily allowed me to Scan an image code and sign up for warranty within two minutes. On top of that they have a brochure about the company and I was extremely impressed to see they are donating 10% of all of their proceeds to Saint Jude‘s children’s research Hospital. That is a selfless act that as a parent I appreciate on behalf of all the kids who are or may one day have to use the facility. Kudos to GearAmerica and I will continue to support you all if only for that reason. I’ll look for folks to tow out this week and let you know how this thing performs.

Ich fahre einen 40-Tonnen-Kipper. Da kommt es in Kiesgruben oder Deponien öfter vor, daß man mit eigener Kraft nicht mehr vom Fleck kommt. Da hat mir das Abschleppseil bisher gute Dienste erwiesen!40 Tonnen lassen sich damit leicht wegziehen!
