Dog Food Renal Function 400g (12 Cases)

My 13 year old mixed breed dog was diagnosed with kidney disease last year. My vet prescribed Royal Canin renal dog food and he hated it. I began making renal food, using recipes that I found on line, but after a few weeks he wasn't eating again. 3 months ago Max started with diarrhoea and became very ill and I thought I was going to lose him. My vet prescribed a prebiotic as well as antibiotics and I decided to look for another renal dog food and came across this one. He absolutely loves it. I am so pleased with how well Max now is. It's not cheap if you have a big dog like mine, but it has made such a difference to his quality of life and energy levels and hopefully will help him to enjoy life for a few more years to come.

I am not able to buy this in my local area. Having it delivered makes life so much easier. My dog enjoys this food.

The texture of this is horrible and our dog won't eat it

Vet recommended for my dog, who is nearly 13. Was told she had kidney disease, and should be eating this type of food. It doesn't seem to have much about it and my Dog is a bit indifferent to it. I use half and half with my normal dog food. It's also very expensive. (??????).

I've been buying this product for several months. It's necessary for my elderly dog in renal failure. It's OK but quite expensive. This month's delivery didn't arrive so I put in an enquiry only to be told it had been delivered. I disputed that. To be sent the attached photo (Yodel provided). SO IT HAD SAT IN A DUSTBIN FOR 8 DAYS AND NO-ONE TOLD ME ... Yes the courier is to blame - but the company's customer service was very poor and they dismissed my complaint with the attached photo. I won't use them again.

Our lab cross Weimaraner quite enjoyed this food compared to some others we bought that ended up in the bin and a still hungry dog. We got this food when our now departed little girl was struggling to eat her old food and she needed specialist food for her special late life needs. She still made it quite a while after shifting foods and showed quite some improvement when swopping over. Unfortunately she passed away late last year and it has taken me a while to get around to writing this. We miss our little girl dearly and we hope this food helped her last few months be a little more pleasant.

Our little 16yr old Yorkie Scamper was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in Oct 15 and we were told to put him on special kidney diet food. We tried the Hills kd vet diet but he has always been a really fussy eater anyway and hardly ate it, he lost weight and only really ate it cos he was so hungry and we had to put pate and cesar in it aswell to get him to eat. We decided to try this one and he likes it much better and clears the dish, we still have to add a tiny bit of a meaty treat in but he has put weight back on and we are now on the second 12pk, he seems to be doing well on this one

Our female Boxer was diagnosed with juvenile kidney disorder (malformed kidneys) at 9 months. She was given the life expectancy of 3-4 years, the final year being a slow decline which was heartbreaking. We were advised to try Purina NF Renal function food (wet and dry) to prolong life by ensuring the kidneys don't work as hard. She is now approaching her 6th birthday having shown no signs of slowing down. We are forever grateful for this product and for the joy we get every day with our pal.
