Great Fan - very quiet.
Bought to replace a fan our builders fitted a couple of years ago which died last week. The old fan made a racket, so much so that we could hear it all over the house. I was 'getting around' to fitting a new (hopefully quieter) fab, but it never made it to the top of my list. So when the old fan died, I was quite pleased. Fitting was a doddle. Our builders had siliconed the last one to the tile wall, it never fell off, so I decided to do the same with this one. That meant i didn't have to drill holes. I used the same wires as the builder had used (making a note of which colours went to which terminals). When I switched it on, was very happy. Its so much quieter. Its not silent, but i cant hear it from the landing when the bathroom door is closed - so that's good enough for me. If you're looking for silence, and you're starting from scratch, you might want to consider an inline fan. For me that wasn't practical as the hole and wiring was already there. If you're looking to simply replace an existing fan, you cant go wrong with this one.

Suppliers excelent fan not bad
Includes all the bits you need except brick cutting tools in my case. Require a permanent and switched live to work which caught me out, check which model you get, the T has a time delay on it. More powerful than my old one. Supplied within 2 days of order. Supplier was willing to replace if it had been defective.

Cheaper than retail
So my fan broke in my bathroom and I was annoyed I would probably have to pay a lot of money to get it fixed. However, I looked on amazon and I found the exact same fan and a fraction of the price. When it arrived I was expecting a knock off box but instead it was the real item with all the additions provided. In the box you get the plastic cylinder to connect to the outside, the sticky backed fabric that seals around the fan, all the pieces you need to fix it, including screws. Once fitted it works perfectly, not very silent, but I never leave it on when I'm going to bed so this never bothers me. I live in a bathroom that does not have a window, so I leave this fan on for hours at a time after I shower to remove the steam. It does this perfectly with no malfunctions even after being on for hours. Overall great product, great price when I bought it, definitely recommend buying.

Xpelair DX100T Bathroom Extractor Fan
The Fan is of avery good quality. The timer works flawlessly. The kit in the package is almost complete. The plastic tubes included (99cm diameter) are only about 30cm length and this could be improoved if at least another plastic tube was included. In my case I bought two kits to complete the installation since there is no 100cm plastic tube in my Country even though the core I made on the wall bricks was 100cm (there is 101.6 cm but does not fit the 100cm diam. hole on the wall. One also has to buy seperately the flexible duct and aluminium tape in order to complete the installation. The manual/box does not list the kit package. (2 gaskets, 2 tubes, 2 adhesives to obstract the air (never used those), screws, the fan, a plastic for window installation and gravity flap wall/window grille).

Excellent like-for-like replacement of my 18yr old Xpelair unit
At £23 incl P&P, this was less than half of the Homebase price, so well done Amazon. Really simple and straightforward like-for-like replacement. Old one out, new one in. Three wire connections - L, N, and 'timer' wire. Mine extracts through a 2-3m pipe, and the external vent slats flap, so it's sucking and extracting OK. (When I can, I will clean the exhaust pipe from the outside of the house, and this may improve the through-put.) Can't find fault with this product.

Xpelair needs to improve quality control
Ordered two DX100T units. On opening both boxes and removing units it was obvious that the front covers were not fully attached, see pic #2. On closer examination the cause was flashing on both the hole and the peg that was stopping the unit from being closed. See pic#1 and #3. How these two units passed QC and got put into a box in this state suggests no quality control. Further examination found one motor was not centered in the housing, the spigot was off center. The front cover and the fan housing do not fit nicely, there are gaps all around, it feels like something is stopping the two parts closing. There were lots of hairline marks on the rear molding of the white housing. Mounting both units in windows and prior to arrival had cut the holes in the glass. Plan was to install today, which I will go ahead with since I am fully committed for the next three weeks. Hopefully installing will be straight forward. Would have preferred to return units but leaving client with two holes in windows is not an option. I dislike leaving this review, having not spoken with Xpelair but that does not change the facts. I'll update this review if I find issues on the install. On installing found one of the shutters would not close after the fan stopped running. Again found lots of flashing which was preventing the shutter closing. Emailed support twice , never had a reply... Not a good experience, poor quality and no support

Foe double glazed window
Replacement for an xpelair fan which had been in a window for 40 years .fitted quite well with minor adjustments. Had to use the old vent as the one on the new one is for a double glazed window and mine was single glazed

Easy to fit an exact replacement for the one I had and it lasts for a few years- probably need to find an alternate extractor in the longer term

Y volvería a comprarlo.
